Sons of Anarchy FX Show

"Gemma (Katey Sagal) is the wife of club president Clay, the best friend of her dead husband, the previous leader. Her son, Jax (Charlie Hunnam), is the heir apparent to the arms-sales operation, but they worry he is starting to question the law-breaking and violence integral to the business.

Sagal's husband, Kurt Sutter, is the creator of the new FX series Sutter, formerly a writer on FX's The Shield, he had Sagal in mind when he created Gemma, the hard-as-nails wife and mother who will do anything - including pushing a troublesome ex-daughter-in-law (Drea de Matteo) toward suicide - to protect and preserve her family and its livelihood.

Jackson Teller, or "Jax" as he is called on the show, is the Vice President of the Sons of Anarchy putting him second in command to the President, his stepfather Clarence 'Clay' Morrow and serves as his right-hand man. Raised in the club, SAMCRO is the only life Jax has ever known. He lives for his brothers and family, but questions the violent extremes the club will go to for "business."

He is the son of Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) and his best friend is Harry 'Opie' Winston, whom he has known since boyhood. He had a younger brother, Thomas Teller who died young of a genetic heart disorder, one that both Jax and his mother Gemma have as well. In Season 3 it is revealed that Jax's father, John Teller, had an affair with Maureen Ashby, and as a result, Trinity Ashby is Jax's half-sister. Jax's father was killed in a car wreck in 1993.

Clarence "Clay" Morrow was born in 1949 and is a native of Charming, California. In 1967, he was one of nine original members who formed the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, of which he was the youngest.

Together with his best friend JOhn Teller and president of the MC they opened the Teller-Morrow auto shop.

Vice President of SAMCRO during the early 1990s, he was responsible for a number of murders during the SAMCRO-Mayan War, including that of Lowell Harland, Sr., a mechanic at the auto shop who became an ATF informant.

In 1993, he became the President of the club's Mother Chapter, based in Charming, after the death of John Teller. He later went on to marry Gemma Teller Morrow, who was John Teller's wife, in the mid-1990s and he adopted her son Jax, who he went on to make Vice-President. It is implied that under Morrow, SAMCRO has become more of a criminal enterprise than before, much to the dissatisfaction of Jax.

Bobby "Elvis" Munson, is the Secretary of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's. Bobby is intelligent and even-tempered (an uncommon trait among his club-mates), but unafraid of using violence when necessary.

Munson's father was an accountant in Reno, Nevada, and kept two sets of books for the Mafia. Bobby apparently learned accounting from him. He does Elvis Presley impersonations in Lake Tahoe, leading to him being referred to as Elvis. As Secretary of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club is responsible for all of the club's financial matters. As one of the club's calmer members, he frequently finds himself having to try and calm tensions among his friends.

Alexander "Tig" Trager is the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club and is the gang's most violent member. Trager is extremely fond of women, and is a mechanic in both meanings of the word. He is extremely loyal to Clarence 'Clay' Morrow, the club's President, Clay's wife Gemma and the club itself. He has a strained love/hate relationship with Vice-President, Jackson 'Jax' Teller arising from his use of violence in situations which may not call for it. His often callous demeanor hides a person with unlikely sensitivity and strong loyalty.
