The Sony PRS-300, also known as the pocket reader, is an impressive little reader which costs considerably less that the Sony PRS-600. It weighs only 220 grams meaning it is extremely handy and easy to carry. It comes in silver, pink, or dark blue. It has a 5" screen and uses eInk technology, which is designed to feel more like reading a real book and reduce eye fatigue. There are also three different font sizes to choose from if the text is too small. With a 512MB built-in memory the Sony PRS-300 will hold up to 350 of your favourite ebooks, and the memory is non expandable. Who can read more than 350 books at a time though, right? A single battery charge will allow for around 6800 page turns, and there is a handy bookmark function to allow you to return right to the last page you were reading. Like any electronic device, things will occasionally go wrong with the Sony PRS-300 ereader. Here are a couple of things to try if your ereader freezes on you. Firstly, perform a soft reset by pressing down the RESET button with a paperclip or something similar. If this doesn't work the most likely explanation is that your battery needs to be charged. This may still be the case even if your battery indicator is showing a full charge, as sometimes these can be faulty. To fix this problem you need to calibrate the battery. Simply use up the battery completely, and then charge it - completely - a couple of times. This should make the battery indicator show the correct charge, and will also have fixed your frozen reader problem.
