Sony Tablet S - Buying Advices!
Sony announced a few months ago the new Sony Tablet S. What makes this tablet so special? Should you buy it or not ?
Well, you have to decide for yourself, but if you are a Sony fan you should probably have it. I hope that this Sony Tablet S Review will help you to decide.
Tablet is available now only in WiFi version, but offers support for Bluetotoh, microUSB, DLNA connectivity and it even has infrared remote serving for other devices in the house, obviously all Sony.
Since it only deliver the tablet in the box with just the charger, without USB cable, I'm shocked that Sony assumed from the start that we have its gadgets around the house. Instead, they took care to provide a small accessory strap to attach the tablet to the wrist while we play.

How good is Sony Tablet S?

Sony Tablet S comes with Crash Bandicoot, first inaugural PlayStation game, but it's quite extremely difficult to control on a tablet using virtual controls. Fortunately, to complete the gaming experience, you can attach a joystick via microUSB, so here's an extra point.
The fact that OS Honeycomb is prone to jamming, it is also slow and I was almost impossible to use it without blocking the tablet. In addition, the interface is the same as the rest of the tablet with Android 3.1, except for a few shortcuts on the top that go directly into the browser, email, social services or favorite applications. In section applications it changed only the list of software look and way of arranging Android app sites, by name or user-defined criteria.
I add here the fact that the virtual QWERTY keyboard comes with a Tablet S numeric pad on the right, so there is no need to go in a separate section if you want typing alphanumeric. Obviously, I can not forget design: manufacturer of Tablet S chose a 9.4-inch diagonal screen and this leaves the sides and top a huge edge. I would have preferred a 10.1 inch screen, but one that covers the surface of the tablet. It is difficult to access side buttons, because you can't see them and you have to guess where they are.
Regarding the camera, it has a 5-megapixel sensor in the back with autofocus and captures 1080p, at least theoretically, but with problems when there is poor lighting and noise in images. At least pictures are decent, obviously if the light is good. In addition to the internal memory of 16 or 32 GB you can use an SD card slot, which will be needed, especially because the tablet system is eating enough memory.
For example, the 16GB model will provide only 9 GB to use, and if you install standard applications, you have only 7 GB. The problem is that the producer chosen to make a separate partition for the OS files. The only time I would worry about the 7 GB storage would be when I want to see a movie in .mkv, but I have no chance on this device, because all video content must be converted. As if that was not enough, the screen is not too bright, but looks good ... and the 5000 mAh battery will last more, even a day of moderate use.
Despite these shortcomings, we must see the whole ensemble here ... Japanese manufacturer thought of this device as a hub for your entire entertainment system. Suppose you have a TV of this company, a PlayStation 3, an audio system, a Blu Ray player and a new generation of PSP, all in the same wireless network, the tablet is the missing element that will unite all. It will be the remote for the TV and PS3, and you can transfer content to the rest of gadgets.
This makes the Sony Tablet S exclusive, but one that will disappoint for those who don't have gadgets from Sony. Nice design, the small changes in the GUI and the fact that once you attach a joystick the gaming experience is awesome saves this product.
