Sony Ericsson is now coming back with more new phones. This time, they are announcing a new model of T series called T715. Sony Ericsson still wants to keep sliding phone in their main collection. The phone is coming with 3G capability, 3MP camera and big keypads. If you are a text messaging person or MMS or email, then this phone is just for you.

Other specifications are 2.2 inch QVGA screen, TrackID, PlayNow, microSD, Bluetooth 2.0 dengan A2DP and radio with RDS. The dimension is 91.5x48x14.9mm and weight about 96 grams. Unfortunately, Sony Ericsson forgets the autofocus for this phone. For internet, the phone is equipped with NetFront browser and YouTube. It is also integrated with Google Maps and Google Search. The new thing about this phone, the home screen is using smart desktop where it can show a reminder or notes right on the screen. You won't miss any important appointment with this phone.

Sony Ericsson is just launching a new category of phone, that is focusing its performance on Gesture Game. The phone has a series of U100i. Gesture game is a game played along with body movements of users. With this phone, the user is not necessarily holding the phone. It is simply place the phone on a table and the user can move in front of the phone like they are playing in real tennis field.

Gesture game is firstly introduced in Japan. U100i will be the first phone with Gesture Game and sold in outside of Japan. So if you have this phone, you will enjoy the game and keeping your body healthy on the same time, because you will need to move around in order to play the game. For lazy people like me, this phone is definitely not for me :)

Beside the gesture game, this phone also equipped with regular games and motion games. Amazingly, Sony Ericsson still add 5 mp camera on the phone and operate in GSM, GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA networks. Wow.. too much for a game phone!

That's not all. The phone is also having an advance music player and Music Call button. Music Call button is a very useful button, for me and I think it is for you too. This button has a function to play a music while you are talking on the phone.

Sony Ericsson falls into a big trouble when there is a significant decrease on cellular's market and tight competition among the producers. From the financial report, the sales performance in first quarter in 2009, they can only reach 2.250 billions dollars.

This number is 36 percent decrease compare to the same period last year. If compare to the fourth quarter 2008, the decrease was bigger which is about 40 percent.

The total sales, Sony Ericsson only reached 14.5 millions units for the first three months. Of course, the result has been predicted by the company which already predicted about 35 percent decrease. In global market, Sony Ericsson has grabbed 6 percents of market share, which is 2 percents decrease.

This company has just sent home their 2000 employees and planning to minimize about 2000 more of their employees in near future. This decision has been made by higher management in hope that they can bring their company in profitable condition as soon as possible. According to the calculation, 2000 employees can save company's expenses about 400 billions Euros per year.

If you are looking a phone that can be used as a reliable digital camera, this phone can be a good option. The phone is using sliding design. As a result of the sliding design, the phone looks thicker about 19.5 mm. This is quite reasonable due to the design and the high resolution camera. The sliding design can also give an advantage which can make a bigger display. This phone is having 2.4" screen with scratch resistance for the screen.

We can find soft keys and D-path underneath the screen. The D-path can be used to arrange the camera whenever in camera mode. The top part of the screen is nicely added two buttons which also can be used in camera mode and game.

After the C510, Sony Ericsson is back with the new series of Walkman, W508. This new model has a shape like W980. The good news is, the phone will use Style-Up model where the user can change the cover. The main feature of this phone is the external music control that is very touch-sensitive.

Sony Ericsson is planning to launch a new series called Kate C510. This phone will be the next generation of K770 and join the family of CyberShot. Sony Ericsson never stop creating a new technology for their cellulars. After introducing a technology of 8 mp camera through C905 Cybershot, Sony Ericsson will develop a new phone with 12 mp camera, more less.

It looks like Sony Ericsson wants to continue the generation of the Cybershot series. From the plan, Sony Ericsson will implant touch screen interface and will have a shape like Tube from Nokia. Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications clearly doesn't want to lose in competing with Nokia, their main competitor in cellular business. Nokia is seriously maintaining their music business. Sony Ericsson will send all W760i to Zeemote for Netherland's market and add a feature for remote control. With bluetooth technology, the gamers can control a game by using their W760i.

Sony Ericsson is announcing the new phone, T700, to continue its successor T650. It's another a slim phone made by Sony Ericsson that is also having 3.2 mp camera and 3G capability.

There's no official announcement from Sony Ericsson, but definitely they are not targeting Tarzan :)

The specification of this phone will remain the same from previous version. 256 thousand colors for the screen, 3G capability, the walkman ways of listening music with TrackID, Bluetooth as usual, FM radio and 2 MP camera.

Nokia may be a number one brand in cellular market, but a survey said differently. A team of Haboo made a survey to their visitors regarding their habits in using cellular phone. 54,840 people were responding to the survey and coming from 31 different countries.

Nokia still remains a number one brand and being a favorite in 15 countries, but respondents feel that Samsung and Sony Ericsson have a better performance in term of entertainment. And Sony Ericsson has beaten Nokia in England, Germany, Denmark and Swiss.

If we are comparing with the result in 2006, Nokia still a favorite phone in those four countries.

Nokia loose their position badly against Sony Ericsson and Samsung in England because many young respondents from England use their cell for entertainment facilities installed inside the phone. 71% of them were using their cell to listen music.

Other booming application, beside music player, is camera. 70% of respondents admitted to use their cell for taking pictures and 64% use it to play a game.

Short text message is the most usable among the young respondents to communicate. 88% respondents said they use Short text messages more then making a call and only 25% who use it for internet.

Sony Ericsson is finally introducing their new cybershot series. C702 and C902 are the new cybershot for Sony Ericsson users. It is not like previous cybershot family with K series, it is now introducing the C series which I think it's a mark for Cybershot.

C702 is having a candy bar shape, designed specially for taking picture from any places, environment and condition. The camera has a capability of 3.2 MP and also supporting face detection and red eye reduction. These two features were not available on previous cybershot series. This gadget can be used in 3.5G and GPS technology.

For its sister C902, Sony Ericsson has generously installed 5 MP camera with autofocus feature. Too bad, this gadget is loosing the GPS feature.

SanDisk and Sony announced a new type of memory flash called Memory Stick Pro-HG (MSPRO-HG). It is the continuation of MSPRO.

The new type MSPRO-HG can give a higher speed of reading and writing by using 8bit interface instead of 4bit like MSPRO. Sony and SanDisk will also increase the frequency from 40 Mhz to 60 Mhz which is giving transfer speed up to 60 mb per second or similar to the maximum speed of USB 2.0. While the minimum transfer speed for 8 bit is 15 mb per second.

Nothing changed on the shape and size compare to MSPRO and completely compatible between those interface. The capacity of the new interface can reach 32 GB, but we have to wait to find out until it really launch.

Unfortunately, for all users who are having Sony Ericsson phones with Memory Stick Micro (M2) won't be able to switch it to the new MSPRO-HG due to the small size of M2.

Total sales of Cellular phones has reached 1.15 billions units in 2007. The increase is about 16 percents compare to previous year which was only 990.9 millions units. This research has been done by Gartner Research Center and announced by Cellular News.

According to Gartner, the sales has reached 330 millions units only in fourth quarter. This amazing result was contributed by developing countries like China and India. While the country like Japan and West Europe, the consumers prefer to buy a phone with advance feature such as TV Tuner, GPS, Touch Screen and High Resolution camera.

Gartner's prediction for this year, the sales will not be able to reach the same number as 2007 and the developing countries, once again, will give the biggest contribution to this year sales.

Sony Ericsson announced the new phone for middle class market with sliding shape. As for middle market, T303 is having common features like 1.3 MP camera, Radio, and MP3 Player.

To make a different from previous model, this phone is made by unique material with interesting size and shape.

W910i received Best Handset from GSM Association Congress. W910i has beaten other nominates like Nokia 6500 Classic, Samsung SGH G600, LG KU990 Viewty and 3 Skypephone.

This phone has every innovation from Walkman family like Motion Censor, TrackID, PlayNow, and 3.0 Walkman's software version.

The second phone W350 is a flip phone with thin body which is only 10mm (I think it will be the selling point of this phone). Other features are 1.3 mp camera, 14 MB internal memory and M2 card slot. You need to wait until end of 1st semester to try this phone.

While Z555 is another flip phone. The selling point of this phone is a moving sensor inside the phone. You can simply wave your hand in front of the phone if you want to stop the ring or reject a call.

If you have difficulty wake up in the morning, I'm not recommended this phone. The alarm can be stopped by a simple wave of hand. You definitely will miss a lot of appointments in the morning :)

Sony Ericsson is just launching a new member of Walkman's family. The success of combining SE with Walkman has turn it to be a goldmine for Sony.

Now, let's see what the W910i can do..

The phone is operating in four GSM networks from 850 to 1900 MHz and able to operate in UMTS and HSDPA networks. The capability in 3G and HSDPA can give the advantage to the phone to access data with high speed.

It has 2.36 inch of TFT screen with 262,144 colors and 240 x 320 pixels of resolution. Sliding model was chosen to accommodate the screen with this size.

I believe the above features are having no different with previous models. Then what is the selling point for W910i?

Well, the Walkman is identically with music player so the new feature must be related to the music player too. Shake Control, that's the way they name it.

Users can change the song without touching any button. Just simply shake it to the left or shake it to the right, the song will change to the next song or before. What happen if you shake it to the front or back? The phone will randomly selecting a song from the list.

What happen if you drop it? The phone will take you to the nearest SE center or nearest cellular phone to get the new one.. Just kidding :)

You may or may not notice cellular phones are growing and never stop improving its capability. The never ending evolution is keep moving and transform a phone from a simple communication tool to be multimedia with multi function phones.

CCID Consulting in China revel the users in China are hoping a variety of multimedia function when they decide buying a cellular phone.

Dopod P800, Amoi N6 and ZTE E700 were having their own positioning on consumers' mind simply because of its navigation feature installed on the phones.

Greenpeace issued the list of electronic companies based on the level of chemical material and their awareness on environment. Nokia sits on number 9 while Sony Ericsson surprisingly hold number one position.

Nokia was holding the number one rank on the list in 2006 because of their awareness on environment by providing recycling activities for used / old Nokia phones.

Unfortunately, Greenpeace found the recycle program was not giving a maximum result. Greenpeace found the Nokia stores in some countries were not accepting secondhand phone for recycle program.

Motorola is having the same problem with Nokia. Almost all employees in sales force of Motorola had no information about recycle program. It was found that they don't provide a facility for returning the secondhand phone for recycle in Rusia.

The second place is surprisingly taken by Samsung and third by Sony. Both of company neither Samsung and Sony are rewarded for their success in reducing the poisonous chemical ingredients for producing their products.

One more Walkman comes to earth. Sony Ericsson calls it as W890i. The new walkman comes with slim body and supporting 3G.

The new features are the latest version of music player 3.0 and SensMe, both are for user's convenient in playing the music. The camera is using 3.2 MP with the availability of memory slot up to 2GB.

If you love to play with playstation, this can be a good news for playstation lovers.

This rumor is not yet confirmed by Sony Ericsson, but the rumor said Sony is currently developing playstation phone and the rumor is getting stronger after Sony registered the patent and copyright of phone with video game.

One thing for sure, if they can combine two big names in two different industry, it can be a huge success for Sony. Definitely, the market will response very quickly and other competitors will need extra works to get their users back.
