The Serenity of Indian Music
The unknown language is itself is a dive in to the abyss. You get so lost in the mesmerizing rhythms that the benign language shares your absence in the song. You then tend to create connections with the foreign voice. You form a dictionary of feelings and give meaning to her words.
Before you submerge into these songs, think of this music as an escape from your daily life. These are sounds that hug your ears, voices that comfort our soul and tunes which throw you in oblivion.
The Mundane Trap
It happens during the most ordinary days, the feeling of escape and the cry for answers. You are driving to work, you think of all the comotion around you; from the melting mist on your windshield, to the strange sounds emerging from other cars, the sporadic flows and directions of traffic, your agenda, the next radio station you will hear, your driving etiquettes, the dust on the odometers to your next schedule of cleaning the inside of your car. You think of all of these things, yet you question yourself; how, when, what, and at the end of the trip, you come up with answers to all of them. But then there's a point in between your journey, which is sacred. There's a point where you unknowingly stop for a moment, you look up to the sky, you glimpse the rising sun, your eyes tend to magnify as if there's something unseen. You try to create questions, but the feelings are so magnanimous that you can't bring all your thoughts together. Something so big in nature, our focus deviates back towards the little activities of everyday life and then you forget about the enchanting moment.

Sky is not the Limit
When I gaze that pristine sky all I can think of is science, religion and my presence that connects them together. But when I come home, all the things that had happened at work, with family and friends, my chores and hobbies, paying bills, taking care of pets, it's all part of life. Perhaps not knowing the true essence of nature is also a part of life. Keeping an ambiguous approach helps us contemplate within our human nature. So what! If our eyes can't see beyond the ubiquitous sky, we can still look inside our soul and find the clues and hints to mirror the sky. Once we've dwelled deep inside our minds; one can find questions and dialogs that give meaning to life. To channel inside our mind, all it takes is a deep breath and a soothing cadence of music. Characteristics of Classical Indian Music
The rhythmic organization is based on rhythmic patterns called Taal. The melodic foundations are "melodic modes", or "Parent Scales", known as Thaats, thaats are part of "musical personalities" called Ragas or Raags. Thaats - and so Ragas - may consist of up to seven scale degrees, or swara. Hindustani musicians name these pitches using a system called Sargam, the equivalent of Western movable do solfege:Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa
Do, Re, Me, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do
