All about me
Welcome to my lensography. My initial reason for my first lens was to create interest and explain why I created my Store--well that was a while and a few lenses ago. I realized that if i added a link to each of my lenses on each lens I would end up with a huge lens of links, so I am creating this lens to organize and allow people to visit my various lenses seperated out by subject matter.
so happy linking.

updates about my lenses
May 19, 2009
I have not had much to say for a while, but I have been kind-of busy working on lenses I have added a few more recipes and another lens "Comfort food" one of my major projects is nowhere near completion but I think that it will be my best lens set ever, and yes I said set because the information on that lens just cannot be contained within one page it is just too much. so I am creating a main page that summarizes all of the other lenses associated with it and lets you chose which ones you want to visit.
Somehow, every time I get a digital camera, it disappears. Not sure where, how or who, but after 3 camera's it is getting really annoying. it makes creating lenses about things very difficult, especially when you want to show people what you are talking about.
April 16, 2009
I added a new recipe to the grill lens and have been working on another lens or two but they are nowhere near ready to be published, it takes a lot of research to get a factual lens created especially when it deals with such a large area, food is divine and working with it is great.

April1, 2009
I have added a new recipe to the dragonfire grill lens and am working on another recipe or two to add to the collection, I have created a couple of new lenses that i really want to get to the point they can be published but work is eating all of my time up. I am currently working six days a week and with the other things that are going on i usually don't have much time to do anything but sleep and work. and that is getting old really fast.
March 1, 2009
OK, OK, I know I should have added something here much sooner but hey I get busy too.
I have created another new lens about buying the right refrigerator, and i have sone some updates to a few of my other lenses. though i might have to drop my book lenses as i have not had much time to read recently. so they have been kind-of neglected. One of my major problems with writing a review about a book is that i have a tendency to give you too much detail about the beginning of the book and then tell you to read it yourself to find out more. I mean what do people really want in a review--most of the time when I read a review, by certain people, if they liked it alot I will probably hate it and if they hated it, I will probably love it. Well I hope you like what I've done with the place, and i will really try to update more often. ttfn
January 1, 2009
I have created a new lens, this time it is about my journey to make money for my restaurant.
December 31, 2008
the end of the year and it was a great one, next year can only be better.
As to lenses, I added one called politically incorrect to discuss some of the issues i have with the concept.
Well happy new year and don't drink too much
December 17, 2008
My festival lens is finally complete and it only took a month to get it done.
Probably because I wanted it to be the best lens I have done yet :)
December 3, 2008
I created a new lens to talk about blujay and its pros and cons. hopefully I can get some people giving some useful input.
November 5, 2008
My festival lens is almost finished, and I updated several of my lenses that have not been worked on for a while.
Oct 16
I have been really busy at work and have not had much time to do any updating recently. I have created a new lens that should be published sometime this month. it is about the 13th annual food and wine festival at Epcot. Great food and tons of fun to be shown. I am sorry for all of the people who were not able to come but you might be able to live vicariously through my lens about it.
TTFN-(Ta Ta For Now)

Aug 6
I added several new stores and more about myself and am going to try to get some of my other lenses updated.
July 31, 2008
I really have not had a lot of time to work on my lenses lately. I have Been working on an alternate Forum for the buyers and sellers on Blujay, as well as adding some more stores to my Shopblu lens. If I keep this up I'm going to have to start splitting the lens up into content specific lenses and use the shopblu lens as a main search page.

The man behind the lens
---sorry about the organization of this section but I am writing everything here as it comes to me to write about it and it is not necessarily in chronological order----
My name is Jim, and I am a 35.
I am originally from Mississippi, and spent some time in New York, NY and in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, currently I am living in Kissimmee, FL.
I have a regular job, working for a company I can't name, (contractual obligations and all that jazz) but I will give you a hint or two. "It all began with a mouse" and it is the self proclaimed "happiest place on earth". I work in a Restaurant there and currently am working with money.---I hate money, would rather be cooking, but I took the position for the experience.
I went to college a few years ago and did very well in the English department--my major--unfortunately one of the requirements for my major was second year foreign language-- I thought Spanish would be the easiest choice since they have no silent lettering--(french was the only other choice) whoa, was I wrong. I knew I was in trouble after the first semester--I have no problem remembering the nouns, I mean there is only one of them right, and they have something concrete to relate to. Verbs are my nemesis--there are just too many of them. I barely remember the verbs and which person (first, second, third, singular or plural) they are related to. I have been working with many people who speak Spanish and can tell people what we are serving and point out the bathroom, but if someone tries to converse with me--I get the deer in the headlights look and say "uno momento por favor" (one moment please) and run around looking for someone who speaks spanish. very embarrassing to say the least.
About ten years ago I got sick with pneumonia and didn't eat for 3 days--when I got better I started eating again and my body decided that everything that I ate had to be saved so I got fat--and I mean really fat--over 60 days I gained an incredible 130 (at least)--the scale quit working at 350-- well I developed a condition called sleep apnea because of it --or it was aggregated by it---so now I have to use this stupid machine so that I can sleep. after 6 years of knowing what the problem is I have lost some weight but I am still over 300--perhaps one day I will be skinny again.--seriously doubt it but it is a hope.
About five years ago I moved to FL and boy has it been great. I had to move away from MI the winters were really killing me, I got to the point i couldn't sleep when i needed to and couldn't stay awake when i was supposed to. I tell you it was living heck. since moving down here, I sleep at night and move around during the day, my job keeps me busy, but I keep hoping that i will be able to get my own business off the ground and running so that i don't have to work for a company that doesn't care about the people, just the money.
Current events in my Life
My anniversary--I have been married for 12 years. wanted to take my loving wife somewhere special, but not enough money nor could we get the day off. I took her to see Hancock a few days ago and she loved it, so I hope that is enough for now.
Aug 6, 2008
I have been accepted--yeehaw, I applied for a temporary training position in one of the largest functions of the year, and I will be working with food and wine-- double yay. I will begin my training to train on august first and then begin training people two weeks later, and my participation will run until the end of the function 6 weeks later. More learning for me. hip hip hooray.
Aug 14
not really sure whether this is appropriate or not but here goes.
For several years now my mother-in-law has been on dialysis, and her health and her mental abilities have been deteriorating. She is 83(I think) and Thursday she decided that she had had enough-no more dialysis. The prognosis is 2 to 5 days before she is gone. well my wife is devastated and i really have no idea how to deal with the situation. She is booked on the first available flight out tomorrow, and I hope she makes it up to see her mom before she passes. not really sure what else to do, can't afford to both go and I am not sure how she is going to hold up. I want to be there to help her through this and be the strong shoulder when she needs someone to lean on and share her grief with.
aug 15
my wife is now with her mother in MI, and as feared, my mther-in-law is in really bad shape, I really hope that she is able to go quickly so that she doesn't suffer too much.
Sep 18, 2008
My Mother in law has passed away- her pain has been alleviated and she is now in a better place.
Oct 16, 2008
the festival is about half over and things are totally delish. I hope I have seen some of you over the past few weeks but I'll probably never know.
I have applied for a promotion today, but I will not have a clue until they call me as to whether or not I will be able to do it.
November, 5 2008
the festival is almost over--sad--now I will have to return to my normal location
December 3, 2008
I got offered a temporary position banking out servers and I can tell you it is not easy to keep all of that information straight. so far I have had too much money at the end of the night and still cannot figure out where it should have gone. I created a spread sheet so that I could keep track of who got what and how much they got-and still the information seems to be out of whack. not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the system is doing something wrong.
March 1, 2009
hello again, well I am still working in that temporary position, and have had only one time since then that my sheet did not balance at the end of the night, not happy about that. Recently I have been trying to purchase a house, not going all that great but hey you never know, the perfect house at the perfect price could be just around the corner.
March 12, 2009
We found a wonderful house, and I made an offer, problem is there were some other offers. I have waited a week but there has been no reply as to a rejection or acceptance of the offer, man i hate waiting.
April 1, 2009
Our offer has been accepted and we am now waiting for the signing of the paperwork by the seller, boy are they slow. as soon as that happens everything else will go into full swing and by the end of May, we will be in our own house finally. where we can decorate and make it look the way we want it to. we are so happy we could burst right into a million pieces.
April 16, 2009
My inspection has been completed and I am now waiting for the appraisal, my origional closing date was for the 20th of this month but that isn't going to happen. hopefully it will be done by early may but i'm not going to hold my breath.
