Sorting Out Your Wardrobe
Everybody dreads it, but it has to be done every now and again. We are of course talking about cleaning or sorting out the wardrobe. If you are like most people, then you know how easy it is just to throw things in there and then conveniently forget about them.
Not a difficult job to sort out your wardrobe
Although it may be easier just to do this, the reality is that it isn't the best way to be storing our clothes and belongings. But never fear, sorting out the wardrobe doesn't have to be a difficult job and the smart way of making this so is to break it down into one day at a time. Below is a simple to follow five day plan that will have your wardrobe looking fantastic without you even realising you put in any effort!
The First Day
On the first day, you will want to remove everything - yes, everything - from the pine wardrobe and then try to separate them into relevant piles. By this we mean, for example, one pile for any clothes you just know you don't wear any more, one for those that do not fit, summer clothes, winter clothes, etc. Whatever way you feel it makes life easier. You can also have piles of any non-clothe related items that may have found a home in your wardrobe.
The Second Day
On the second day go through all your piles and discard anything that is not required or you know you will not wear again. It would be better if you could donate any clothes or shoes that are wearable and in good condition to charity. This way you will not only help your fellow man, you will help with doing your bit for the environment by not adding to landfills.
Third and Fourth Day
On day number three, have a look around your home and see if you can find anywhere to store the items that are not shoes, clothes or personal items, like suitcases for instance. There is bound to be somewhere more suitable for these - how about the attic, shed or garage?
On the fourth day it's time to work out how much space you will need for the items that have remained in their relative piles. A good way of doing this is jotting down each item or pile on a piece of paper and then deciding where best they could be housed in the wardrobe. After doing this, work out which items will need to be folded, and which hung up, as well as seeing how many pairs of shoes or bits of personal items you have for the wardrobe. By doing this you can then work out how many shelves, drawers or hanging rails you will need to utilise. It doesn't hurt to leave some additional space for items yet to be purchased.

Fifth and Final Day
When day five comes along, think about any additions (or things to take away from) you would like in your large 3 door wardrobe for example. Does it need extra shelving or a shoe rack, or would it be better by taking out a couple of shelves? What about light - is there enough when you open the wardrobe, or will you want to add a light fixture? Doing these little things, within your budget of course, will make you feel like the five days have been well worth the effort!
