Soul Calibur IV has come to torture your joystick
Soulcalibur IV is the fifth installment in Namco's Soul series of fighting games, and was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 29, 2008, in North America, and released on July 31, 2008, in Japan, Europe, and Australia; and August 1, 2008, in the United Kingdom.
For the first time in the series, Soulcalibur IV will have the option to fight against other players online. Confirmed versus-modes available in online battles are Standard VS (for classic matches) and Special VS (for customized characters). Director Katsutoshi Sasaki has mentioned that created characters will be playable in the online multiplayer mode.(read more)

Don't listen to those so called "guides" on forums. For a critical finish, get the enemy soul gauge to flashing red, then break their guard. When they are in a stunned state, where they stagger a bit after guard break, hit the G,A,B,K buttons (or left trigger) and that does it.

The best fighting game series out there...just got better
My verdict is that this is a great fighting game to have. It's purely that and nothing more. Expect to play single player mode quite a bit in order to unlock characters and items. The real fun of this game really comes from multiplayer modes.
