Soul Calibur IV just arrived on store shelves. Fans of the series have been busy exploring new characters, and the new moves of their returning favorite characters. Players new to the series have found a rich and complex fighting system.
Soul Calibur is built around its extensive cast of characters. Each has his or her (or its) own fighting style and combat moves. Choose from the quick, short range strikes of Sophitia, Maxi's fast and powerful nunchuks, or the giant axe of Astaroth to name a few.
With so many characters, moves, and combos it's going to be a while before you can unlock all aspects of the game. In the meantime, the key to winning is to pick a character with a style you like, then learn how to play that character well. (read more)

I wasn't a teenager in the 90's so I never got a chance to play Street Fighter but I've heard it was pretty popular. xD It may be a little stale right now, but many say the core gameplay of Street Fighter II is pretty close to perfect, and plays as well now as it did in the early 90s. I'm looking forward to the results of this showdown, especially since SF IV is coming out soon after SC IV.

Another high-calibur game in a great series
Some minor disappointments exist, but they won't keep even casual fighting game fans away from Soulcalibur IV. Besides, Darth Vader says he'll melt your brain if you don't buy it, so might as well save yourself the trouble and get your soul burning bright red!

It would be awesome to see Kratos in this game, since he is the kind of character that would go seek out Soul Edge in order to kill the gods of Olympus. But, I don't understand why characters such as Darth Vader and Yoda are in the game.

- I haven't gotten the chance to play SC 4 yet unfortunately but I heard some great things about it! My fave character is Sophitia because, not only is she both cool & hot, her discipline style is very versatile & of the Soul character lineup, among the strongest! It's a shame that her canonical ending was not what I prefered, but I would do the same thing if I was in her situation. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to getting SC IV mainly for Sophitia but also for the graphics & features! I know I will thoroughly enjoy it, for I do own all of the Soul series for the Sony platforms (Soul Edge, Soul Calibur 2 & 3), & I play the arcade & with my cousins on their Dreamcast for Soul Calibur 1.

- This has gotta be one of the best games ever! Unreal graphics, Hundreds of moves, and Awesome backgrounds! There should be a mod for changing the length of hair, or a more complex scale mod. Its too bad you can't unlock different modes, and why is it so complicated to equip a new weapon to characters. Over all ITS AWESOME!

we'd really love to see some modern cool clothes for all these male & female characters like tight t-shirts, cool trousers or tight lower unerwears, boxers , skinny jeans & trousers etc. again we (me & my friends) r happy with the chracters & their weapons ;)

- Me & so many of my friends are huge fans of Soul Calibur but we have discused bout it many times & we are very pleased with all the charcters in Soul Calibur 4 specialy with the secret aprentice ;) but we'd love to see more facial expression in the the characters faces maybe use ILM's "CloneCam" device ;) yeah that'll be cool.On the games cover its writen that it has some sexual content but to be honest we think that you guys did great job with girls ;) lol but how come the male characters dont seem to have a penis!.Their underwears show no shape of nothin down there! come on guys thats no fun lol put some balls in there for the males & think bout it this way thier not gona b full nude they'll still have their underwears on plus if u guys r worrried bout the girls & boys that are not 18 yet well don't coz nowadays children under the age 18 go to the zoo's all the time & they get to see male animal's penises so in other words its not like u gona put a penis there no just some shape
