I need to choose one, but I need some help...

A local car sound specialist has come on board as a sponsor for the Pimp My Mighty Boy Shoot Out Challenge.

On offer is a GPS or a Sound System.

One or the other.

I'm asking my Squidoo bretheren, the Shoot Out community, Mighty Boy enthusiasts and the people of Newcastle to help me decide by voting in the online poll.

I've even tossed in a guestbook if you need to add some commentary.

GPS

The Global Positioning Unit we can get is similar (or maybe even the same) as the Uniden featured below.

- Dynamic Voice and Visual Guidance
- Speed and Safety Warning System
- Fixed Speed Camera Warning
- Red-Light Camera Warning
- Black Spot Warning
- Shoot Out Locations before they're even announced at 9pm on the Friday.

Just joking about that last one.

And there's over a Million Points of Interest including
- Restaurants
- Shopping Centres
- Banks
- Post Office
- Buildings and Monuments
- And Much More!

Multi Media Player allowing you to play your favourite videos and music, or even view your digital photos when saved on an SD Memory Card.

Downside: The sound plays through it's own inbuilt speaker and can't be hooked up to a decent sound system.

CD Player

I'm unsure of the exact brand but I do know that Newcastle Pro Sound carry a lot of Soundstream gear.

The sound set-up will run to around AU$600 to AU$700 in price, which is around the same figure for the GPS. All of course fully installed.

Keep in mind it'll be just two speakers. There's not a lot of room to be fitting in sub-woofers in the Mighty Boy.

What to choose!

In one corner we have the Global Positioning System, which can tell me exactly where I am, and also warn of red light cameras and speed cameras. Not that I'm in the habit of trying to break the law. It has the ability to play MP3's and even AVI's but it has an inbuilt speaker which isn't suited for either. And hooking it up to the sound system isn't an option because if I have the GPS I don't get the sound system. That's a downside.

In the other corner is the sound system. A CD Player, and I assume it also plays MP3's (from CD). The downside is that due to the space constraints it's not as if we can fill it up with speakers, tweeters and booming big bass from some sub-woofers. Though I'd probably get a good back massage if it was squeezed in behind the drivers seat. So it'll just be two speakers for the sound set-up.

Which option do you favour?
