White Sound Machine - Silence Unwanted Noise So You Can Sleep

I have always had problems with neighbors and noise every since I can remember. Living in an apartment is really bad for noise. Now that I have a house, I thought I would get peace and quiet...BUT no way!!

My neighborhood is pretty noisy with dogs barking, cars playing stereos loud, people talking outside late at night, loud music from inside homes...you name it. There just is no peace and quiet anymore!

I was really tired of being woken up 2 or 3 times per week. I needed an answer before I went crazy. I knew about sound masking and white noise from a place I used to work at. They had white noise machines installed in the ceilings. They worked!!

I have ben using the Marpac white noise machine for a few weeks now. It's quite a device. You can adjust the volume and frequency of the white noise. The motor also has 2 speeds. You just turn the outer casing to change the white noise frequency. The power switch has 2 speeds too. Adjust it so you cannot hear distracting noises and then turn it on when you go to bed.

I started with the softest white noise. I wanted to get used to it and then increase the white noise level for more sound masking.

This is a great device!!! I have had 2 weeks of uninterrupted sleep. Boy it sure is nice to sleep 8 hours again. I don't hear any dogs, music, talking or crickets chirping anymore.

I would recommend this to anyone who has a noisy neighborhood and wants to sleep soundly.
