What you need...
½ tsp freshly ground pepper
4 oz butter
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp paprika
¼ cup flour
1 cup white wine
3 quarts beef bouillon
For the Soup recipe onion topping:
French bread

This Recipe for Onion Soup is easy, you can shave some time off by cutting down the saute time but slightly increasing the heat, but ultimately it wont be as good!Soup Recipe Onion Directions:
1) Slice onions 1/8 inch thick.
2) Melt butter; add onions and saute very slowly for 1 hour in a large saucepan.
3) Then, add butter, pepper, salt, paprika, and flour and saute over low heat for 10 minutes.
4) Add bouillon and wine. Simmer for 2 hours.
5) Adjust color to a rich brown by adding some Kitchen Bouquet, if desired. Season to taste with salt. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
6) The final step in making Soup Recipe Onion with this recipe is to to serve it right. To serve...Heat soup. Fill individual ovenproof bowls with soup. Top with 1 ½ inch slice of French bread and a generous amount of grated cheese. Place under the broiler until browned slightly.

- I don't know what onion soup with white wine tastes like so yep I will try your recipe. It should go well with plain toast or crusty bread, maybe a bit of butter and fried garlic on the side.

- just boil down a finished joint of beef all day and strain! or alternatively, just use some shop bought beef stock in hot water or bouillon bought from a shop
