All About the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry

The Southeast Gwinnett Coop is part of the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry and is working to make a difference for families in the Southeastern part of Gwinnett County.

What the Co-Op Does 

The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry makes every attempt to help with food, some help with utilities, rent (partial), prescription drugs, gasoline, and oil.

The Co-op serves people who reside in the following Zip codes: 30078, 30039, 30017, and the Gwinnett portions of 30052.

Obtaining Assistance from the SE Gwinnett Co-Op 

If you would like to get help from the Southeast co op, you will need to bring:

  • Proof of residency
  • Proof of income
  • Information on the number of children in the home proof of the number)
  • Social Security Card
  • Photo Identification

    The phone number is 770-985-5229. Because the Co-op is staffed by volunteers, the open hours are limited to:

  • 10 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • 3 pm to 7 pm Thursdays
  • Food Donations Needed 

  • Canned Vegetables
    Corn, Green Beans, Green Peas, Tomatoes, Carrots, Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes, Spinach

  • Canned Beans
    Pinto Beans, Kidney Beans, Northern or Navy Beans, Lima/Butter Beans, Black Eyed Peas, Pork n Beans.
    Any dried beans

  • Cereal
    Grits, Oatmeal, Cold Cereal

  • Meat/Protein
    Chicken, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna, Salmon, Beef Stew, Spam, Chili, Peanut Butter

  • Soups
    Chicken Noodle, Cream Soups, Tomato, Vegetable, Beef, Chunky Soups, Ramen Noodles

  • Other Food Items
    Canned (evaporated) Milk, Powdered Milk, Jello, Pudding, Jelly, Saltine Crackers

  • Canned Fruit
    Fruit cocktail, Pears, Peaches, Pineapple, Applesauce

  • Pasta/Rice Items
    Spaghetti Noodles, Spaghetti Sauce, Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Pasta, Rice - Plain and Seasoned, Pasta - Plain and Seasoned

  • Where is the Southeast Gwinnett Co-Op Located? 

    The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry is located at 1200 Athens Highway (US 78) in Grayson GA, but it is very close to Snellville.

    It is located behind the Community of Grace Church in two trailers. Note that there is not an entrance to the church off of Hwy 78. You must turn next to the Twisted Throttle Motorcycle Shop and that will bring you around to the entrance.

    Where Can I Donate Food? 

    Currently, Snellville United Methodist Church is accepting donations of food and will deliver it to the Southeastern Coop, so please help this worthy cause. Donation drums are located near the Office of Snellville United Methodist Church.

    Thanks to the Rotary Club of Gwinnett - Sunrise (formerly Snellville Rotary Club) for organizing a food drive for SE Coop in March 2008.

    The Coupon Clippers

    To Drop Off Donations to the Food Pantry: 

    Food can be dropped off during normal hours of operation, however the food bank is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm JUST for food item drop off. This allows the staff of the Southeast Co-op to focus on the clients during normal operating hours.

    Change in Clothing Donations 

    The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry no longer accepts clothing donations. The Southeast Cooperative Ministry has partnered with Atlanta Union Mission Thrift Stores and More location in Snellville to provide clothing assistance. Please direct your clothing donations to:
