Space music is music for higher consciousness
Space music, also called ambient music, is gentle, melodious, harmonious sound. Space music engages the imagination and generates serenity. Listeners of space music find their vibrations raised as they are brought into balance with nature.
Some say ambient space music is meant to be listened to in the background; others enjoy relaxing in an easy chair, on a bed, or even in the bathtub to listen to it. After a stressful day in a hectic civilization, it is perfect for listening to just before bedtime to bring harmony back into life.

...truly, these musicians are not listed in order of preference. They are ten of the greatest, and there are many more not named here at this time.
I know there are MANY great ambient music musicians, and I apologize to all I couldn't fit into my top ten. This list is simply ten of my favorites, of those whose music I've listened to. Some who I love dearly have been left out.
At the end of the page is a place for your feedback. I do hope you'll take time to drop me a note to let me know of any great space music musicians I've left off this list. I'll compile a list with your recommendations to add to this page, with links to their music websites.

How I found space music
...it is on the radio!
I was introduced to space music by a friend who recommended the Hearts of Space radio program... an hour of wonderful ambient music heard weekly on radios throughout the world, and even here on the internet. The program originates from Berkeley, California, near my childhood home. This music resonates with me, and calms my heart. I like to listen to it while I write as it sets the mood for peaceful, happy writing.
The Hearts of Space radio program's website is here: Hearts of Space. The service charges a monthly fee, and I have subscribed. There's a free sample program I love to listen to.
