NASA Space Shuttle Program

The Space Shuttle program has run for more than thirty years, ending just recently during the summer of 2011. During that time, the Space Shuttles accomplished many orbital experiments and helped build the International Space Station. The surviving space shuttles now reside in museums across the U.S., where visitors can learn more about the history of this stage in the U.S. space program.
