Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 large chopped onion
• 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
• 2 large minced cloves of garlic
• 2 cans (16 oz. each) diced tomatoes
• 2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
• 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 20-25 frozen Italian meatballs

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together in crock pot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. Serve over hot pasta.

There have been many times that I didn't have green peppers around and I made this sauce without them, and it tasted just fine. Also, you can change things up a bit and use Italian diced tomatoes or a flavored diced tomato you can yourself. Add more or less herbs to your taste. And of course is there such thing as too much garlic? You can always add more. Use this recipe as a base, adding and changing things as you like.
