Camping in Spain is the perfect way to enjoy some of the prettiest beaches and fabulous coastal seas in Europe. Although many coastal areas have become major tourist spots, there are still some hidden away locations of unspoilt beauty and camping gives you the opportunity to get off the beaten track and explore the picturesc areas.
Below is a list of campsites (chosen from campsite reviews) that are not only close or direct to beaches but also provide a good range of facilities and pool complexes to stay cool in the hot Spanish climate.

Costa Brava campsites

Internacional de Calonge - campsite is located on a picturesque hillside just a short stroll away from a beautiful beach and the nearby town of Playa d'Aro. As well as being a well maintained park, the facilities are modern with plenty of activities to choose from.
Castell Montgri - is a lively camspites with fabulous views of the Estartit bay. The center piece of this parc is a Olympic sized Panorama pool.
Cala Gogo - is a campsite set on the side of a hill boasting fantastic sea views in a beautiful surrounding area. Along with it's picturesque location it offers many eaterys, soprts facilities and a free Guagua ride to the local beach.
El Delfin Verde - camspite is set on a large sandy beach and has a large swimming pool, restaurants, sports and organised group activities and events. A camspite to suit all ages.

Costa Dorada campsites

Playa Montroig - campsite is set within it's own tropical gardens. This action packed campsite is suitable for the whole family with a large lagoon style pool complex made up of three pools, one segmented just for little toddlers.
Park Playa Bara - is a well maintained campsite with a true Mediterranean flavour. Play Bara has a fantastic pool complex which includes four swimming pools, plenty of waterslides and a whirlpool. Organised on site kids clubs makes it an excellent choice for a family holiday.
Cambrils - is a family friendly campsite with a truly imaginative pool complex and top class facilities. It even has life-sized elephants!
Vilanova - is a lively campsite offering plenty of activities from various sports, an indoor spa, a children's club and live entertainment shows. PortAventura themepark and Barcelona is only a short trip by local public transport.

Playa Joyel - located alongside a beach, this campsite has some lovely views and is well run offering entertainment for the whle family. With plenty of sports including mini golf for the little one's (and big one's) there is also two swimming pools and a whirlpool too.
