Hi SUBAT3,

I've found the following at wordreference.com:
truant: (noun) to play truant, hacer novillos: she's been playing truant from school, ha estado haciendo novillos

And at the Yahoo Spanish dictionary:
s. persona que hace novillos
adj. perezos
