Muscle Cars

American Muscle Cars. Want to attract a crowd? Gather a couple of vintage Mustangs, throw in a Chevelle or two and don't forget a Cuda. Nothing short of free money will draw a crowd as quickly.

I came of age in the early 70's when you could buy a used Mustang for around five hundred. It is natural for someone my age to love these cars. But this affair is not exclusively for us old guys. I see the fire in my son's eye when we go to a car show. What is it about these machines that people love?

What is a muscle Car?

Muscle Cars? What was the first muscle car? Ask this question of ten car lovers and you will get a ten different answers. In order to determine the first, you must define the meaning. What is a muscle car? I suspect if you ask this one you would get a few blank stares.

How do you define it? My opinion, a muscle car is a four wheeled vehicle with a high power to weight ratio. Simple? No, most people would agree with me until you ask them about turbo charged rice burners. Then they would scream their opposition.

Let me know what you think. Write a definition of the term "Muscle Car" and post in the comments section.
