Before you begin to weave a particular spell you should have put some care and thought into your preparation.

An important aspect of successful spellweaving is effort ; what you put in during these initial stages will set the energetic scene for the spell itself.

Put concentrated positive energy into your quest for the correct ingredients.

For example if you don't add an ingredient because you cannot find it quickly enough, your spell will mirror that lack of effort and will be rendered less effective.

Treat your spells with love and respect throughout the whole process.

When spellweaving a new spell it is helpful to concentrate on yourself, by performing ritual cleansing and practicing the maximization of your powers of concentration.

You also need to approach magical spells with faith, and a open heart.

Be realistic in what you ask for, riches, fame and issues of control are best left alone, otherwise you will move into the realms of low ( black) magic, which is not the nature of what my sites are intending to teach.

Spells are traditionally cast outdoors, and for the kind of natural magic and spells i am going to tell you about it will help if you can find a place of peace and beauty to work in when spellweaving.

If you do not have access to an appropriate place, however, you can use a room in your house, that is quite and peaceful and then dedicate that space primarily to making magic.

It is important to keep the atmosphere clean and balanced where you work, this can be archived by cleansing it regularly with salt and burning purifying herbs using a house blessing spell, which i will tell you about later.

Start to build up a store of general magical ingredients and equipment.

The spell weaver will always need the following basic elements in most magic rituals ; natural sea salt, a length of white cord, frankincense and other incense, candles in various colours, crystals, special stones and gems of your choice, a selection of dried herbs, essential oils, gold and silver pens, silk and cotton fabrics and a variety of threads.

You will also need some paper that is as natural as possible ; this might be handmade paper, parchment, or simply unbleached plain paper.
