Spence 4 Hire - The Mixtape King
What do DMX, Papoose, 50 Cent and Canibus have in common? They all reigned supreme on the mixtape circuit and caught the attention of industry professionals that offered them fame and fortune. In 2008 there's a new kid making noise through the same circuit but with a greater purpose...to glorify Christ and his name is Spence 4 Hire. As I sat back and bumped his mixtape, "Transform The Game", I found myself thanking God that someone finally got it right by bringing creativity back to the mixtape game. With a blend of secular beats that'll have you reminising about the gloden era of hip hop, you'll quickly forget about the original artists who rhymed over those beats after Spence laces the track with some of the illest metaphors you'll ever hear coming out of a Christian's mouth.
Every lyric that Spence says you can hear the love and passion he has for Christ and his craft. This is just a forewarning to all those emcees out there that think they're sitting high and untouchable, stay on top of your game cause my man Spence is coming, kid!!

Called By God When He Was In The Womb
Since then Spence has been enhancing his rap resume by the release of two independent albums, "War Stories" in 1998 and "Fresh Fire" in 2001. Spence has shared the stage with Gotee recording artist, John Reuben, Flicker artist, T-Bone, and Def Jam artist, Jadakiss, to name a few. In 2002 he was featured in the nationally known Rapfest held in the Bronx. Shortly after that he signed with Christian label God Mafia Enterprises where he released a series of Ep's and mixtapes. Spence is no stranger to the airwaves either, with interviews and segments featured on WRSU 88.7 "Band from the radio" show and the Chris Music Concept video show. As well as promotional commercials for Step-N-Style and City Styles Fashions.
Hip Hop is in his soul. "God is my first love, Hip Hop is my passion", he proclaims. Spence serves his listeners the full meal and not just the desert that is rampant on the radio these days. His demeanor is competitive, his word play is boundless, his delivery is teflon penetrable and his visuals are all but tangible. Ladies and gentlemen, Rap is back! And if it's Rap you want, Spence is 4 Hire!!
