Spending PayPal Cash

Ranked #2,769 in Business & Work, #105,470 overall

Where can you spend your PayPal money?

PayPal is a great way to transfer money on the internet, and there are lots of ways that you can make money online that's credited to your PayPal account. Once you have enough credit you can transfer it to your bank account, but it's also nice to be able to spend your PayPal cash - so these are some of my favorite online stores that accept PayPal. Feel free to add your own!

They have lots of things for people who love outdoor living and camping, but they also stock eco products for the home and lots and lots of books on sustainable living and green topics! They're the online arm of the lovely folks at Permaculture Magazine, who personally vouch for everything they sell!

The Book Depository

Turn your PayPal cash into books!

The Book DepositoryOne of my personal favourites at the moment is The Book Depository, because they let you turn PayPal cash into books! Their prices are in line with Amazon, and they offer free delivery. They have a great selection and their site is easy to use, so I find they're the perfect way to restock my bookshelves :)

Start making morsbags

Give plastic bags the boot

let's do something positive to reduce the hideous number of plastic bags being used - 1 million are consumed per minute globally - of which hundreds of thousands end up in the oceans.

the idea is to get together with people in your local community, drink wine and make reusable cloth bags (from old duvet covers, curtains from charity shops etc) and hand them out to the unsuspecting public for free on specified dates outside different supermarkets.

meet new people, do something marvellous for the planet and beat other pods (groups) of baggers with your morsbag tally.

go to www.morsbags.com to be a part of a wonderful thing! Each morsbag has a special label - they're very cheap to buy and you pay with PayPal.

p.s. non-commercial/ non-profitable - just full of beneficial things for everyone, especially whales!

Boots.com

For everyday needs

One of the biggest UK high street names to accept PayPal online is Boots.com - so you can exchange your PayPal money for everyday necessities and also gifts and treats.

It's not obvious that they accept PayPal until you get to the checkout - and don't forget that you can use your Boots Advantage card online too, and get 4 reward points per £1 spent!

Save Hens with PayPal!

You can also use your PayPal money to support charities. The British Hen Welfare Trust is a UK charity that aims to improve the lives of chickens. Not only do they campaign for improved conditions for egg-laying hens, and encourage customers to ask for Free Range Eggs, but they rehome thousands of hens that have come to the end of their 'economic' life. These lucky hens live out their retirement in luxury, loving conditions!

You can support the work of the BHWC by giving them a donation via PayPal, or spending your PayPal cash on some of their lovely merchandise. I particularly love their greetings cards.

Spiralseed

Spiralseed is a small-scale independent venture founded by Graham Burnett in 2001, for the purpose of sharing information as well as producing and distributing literature, artwork and other media. Titles include books, pamphlets and DVDs about permaculture, veganism, human ecology, composting toilets and organic gardening.

All Spiralseed publications have a positive perspective, and are produced to the highest ethical and environmental standards using recycled paper and eco-friendly inks by the Leeds based Footprint Workers Co-operative.

Spiralseed also sell good t-shirts and bags featuring Graham's designs. These are produced by the ethical vegan workers co-operative Sunrise Screenprint.

I wish Amazon took Paypal, they I'd have no problem spending mine. Blurb takes it, so I've be getting copies of my self-published family books.

I don't have to use Paypal on Zazzle, since my affiliate account earns plenty from sales of Zazzle items on my Squidoo lenses. Then I can use that for buying Zazzle things myself.

What an interesting twist on a look at Paypal - I tend to not use my own account enough, and am learning more and more how much flexibility it has.
