Well, the cool news has ended as the Spice Girls officially reunited, perfomed in Donatella Versace designs, and have now ended their successful tour. I really wished I had the opportunity to catch one of their concerts as I've been a fan since Day 1.

LONDON (AFP) - The Spice Girls have played their final gig, bringing the curtain down on a reunion tour that netted them millions of pounds despite finishing earlier than planned.
The final stop on the girls' whirlwind tour -- which included 47 shows in the US, Canada, Europe -- was Toronto, where the five performed in front of a full house and ended the night with a group hug on stage.
Citing 'family commitments' earlier this month, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham cut short their 'Return of the Spice Girls' tour.
But media reports have suggested the real reason has more to do with backstage rows and disappointing ticket sales in some of the cities they were due to perform in.
The band has rubbished the claims, even filming a short video in which they say they have to put their children first and they get on well as bandmates.
Shows were cancelled in Australia, South Africa, China and Argentina.
The Spice Girls are said to have each netted ten million pounds from the tour.
On their website, the five wrote a short message to fans saying they hope 'girl power' will live on through future generations.
"Our time is up...we've come to the end of the road...there are tears of both sadness and joy," they wrote, ending with the words: "mission accomplished."
Each of the girls is thought to have new projects lined up, although Mel C is expected to be the only one to release a solo album in the near future. --afp.google.com.

In her television ventures, Beckham has had five official documentaries and reality shows made about her, some of which include Being Victoria Beckham and The Real Beckhams. The band's debut album Spice was released in November 1996 and became a global success and was certified 10× Platinum in the United Kingdom, Canada and Spain, 8× Platinum in Europe, 7× Platinum in the United States, 6× Platinum in Australia and sold over 23 million copies worldwide, the best-selling album by a girl group in music history. The album produced four number one singles in UK and three top five singles in US, including the number-one single "Wannabe" which topped the charts in thirty-one countries. The next single's "Say You'll Be There" and "2 Become 1" topped the charts in over fifty-three countries.
The band's second album Spiceworld was released in November 1997 and produced three number-one singles and a number-two single in the UK. The album was another global success and was certified 10× Platinum in Canada, 6× Platinum in Australia, 5× Platinum in the UK and Europe, 4× Platinum in the US, and sold over 20 million copies worldwide.The Times. Their third album Forever was released in November 2000, was certified Platinum in the UK and included two number-one singles. In November 2007, the group released a Greatest Hits album, which was also certified Platinum in the UK.

- I was a fan of the Spice Girls when I was a senior in high school and it was way uncool to like them. What's so funny now when I look back is all my friends made fun because I liked the Spice Girls and they were all saying how the really cool group was Ace of Base (which I NEVER liked). Hmmm, and which of the two groups endured?
