Latest news is that the girls have finished recording a new album called Spice Girls Greatest Hits. This contains newly recorded material ready for the Reunion Tour.
The Spice girls are said to be 'pleased with the cover.'

On Sky news U.K. David Grant their vocal tutor for their last World tour said that 'the Spice Girls are doing much of their old material but that there would be some new material in there. Similarly 'Take That' made their sensational comeback on their own material initially - only to be followed by some really commercial material.'
Take That's success has probably inspired the Spice Girls to take the chance of a reunion seriously.
The Spice Girls are quoted as saying 'That this reunion is a chance to celebrate their past which was brash and optimistic.' Sky news said that 'in the U.K. the spice girls came after the quiet period of Prime Minister John Major and before 9/11. Now they've come back on the scene as the new Prime Minister Gordon Brown takes the stand.' The spice girls have said 'the Time is now - the time is right for a comeback.'
Previously Mel C was opposed to a comeback but she is quoted as saying 'that she has the right to change her mind.'
This time when they perform their chidren will be able to watch them and I think this is something they feel proud about.
David Grant went on to say that 'they had unfinished business at the end of their last tour.'
They have been recording new tracks in LA and there seems to be a lot uf US interest in the girls and their music. Their audience the first time round would have been young girls and the message that the spice girls put out was that of 'Girl Power'.
Who the audience will be this time around - time will tell. After all the film they released wasn't that successful. However Simon Fuller's publicity machine is in full motion - their still seems to be World interest in the girls as they have all managed to stay in the limelight in one way another - so things are looking good.
