    I live in and grew up in the South. I cook lots of barbecue, but have some dear friends from New York. One recent friend is homesick for spiedies so this weekend, I am taking a shot at making them. Wish me luck and thanks for the recipes!

    salamida's is the only one still made in Broome County and family run. I stopped by the store they had in the Oakdale mall when I came home for christmas.. good for them for staying local and donating 20% of sales!! LOVE SALAMIDAS SPIEDIE

    Lupo's Original Spiedie sauce is still being made in Broome County. Here is the link to their online store http://www.spiedies.com/index.php . As I said before, I love them both equally! Thanks for commenting.

    I grew up in Greene N.Y. and I get spiedies every time I go home. Now living in Louisiana.
