My Spinach Pizza Recipe
Among the healthiest vegetables that I enjoy cooking and adding to my list of recipes is spinach. Spinach is known to contain extremely high amounts of vitamin C as well as riboflavin. Additionally, a cup of cooked spinach contains high levels of vitamins and minerals such as folate, vitamin A, potassium, magnesium, thiamin, vitamin E, and vitamin B6.
Similar to other green and leafy vegetables, when cooking spinach, it shrinks to almost half. This is due to the fact that it contains high water content. Did you know that there are studies revealing how eating spinach decreases the chance of developing lung cancer? Spinach indeed provides excellent nutrients that are needed for our bodies to maintain optimum health. Not only that, it is a delicious addition to your everyday recipes.
Here is a recipe using spinach that I added on a Pizza Dough Recipe. This is one of the healthiest and tastiest Pizza Recipes that I enjoy preparing. With this, I feel less guilty to indulge once in a while.

Making the Dough

Ingredients
- 2 cups of warm water
- 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 5 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 (¼-ounce) packet of active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
Instructions
Take out a bowl of a stand mixer. Pour in warm water and sprinkle yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until the mixture produces bubbles. Meanwhile, mix in the following ingredients in a large bowl: sugar, flour, and salt. Make sure to combine all the ingredients well. Take out another large bowl and oil it a bit. Place it aside.
Once the yeast mixture is done, mix in the flour mixture and olive oil. Combine the ingredients using low setting until the flour is moistened enough and the dough starts to form. This should probably take about 1 minute. After that, increase the speed to medium-low. Continue mixing for approximately a minute or until the dough starts to smoothen. Then, increase the speed to medium. Continue blending the dough until it becomes smooth and stretchable about 6 to 10 minutes.
Once you are done, transfer the dough into an oiled bowl, and cover the dough with a damp towel. Place it in a warm area. Let it sit until the mixture doubles. This should be for at least an hour. Once the dough doubles, punch it down, shape it, and roll it out for one more time. Place the dough aside while you prepare your toppings.
