Rishi Sowa's Spiral Island - A Foundation That's Rubbish
Spiral Island: Laying the Foundation
Jesus himself said that only a fool builds his house on the sand... but what about water?
Well, Rishi Sowa may not be able to walk on water but he did indeed build his house on it. Laying a foundation of bamboo and plywood he began covering this new platform with sand. The entire structure is floated using nets filled with discarded plastic bottles. Feel Like Watching a Movie?

Spiral Island Paradise
Wouldn't the world be a safer place if we all owned our own islands?

Spiral Island 2: The New Island
In late 2007 early 2008 Rishi rebuilt spiral island off the waters of Isla Mujeres, the Island of Women, which is also near Cancun. Spiral Island 2 is about 60 ft. (20 meters) in diameter, and the new island already has plants and mangroves growing on it. The new Spiral Island has 2 ponds, a solar powered waterfall/river, and a house on it as well. Rishi continues to improve the island with the assistance of volunteers and says that Spiral Island 2 will always be a work of art in progress. New Link List
