This spiral art reminds me of coasters for drinks, and from there to "The Coasters", a favorite rock group of mine. They had such great hits as "Searchin'", "Yakety Yak", "Along Came Jones", "Charlie Brown", "Poison Ivy", "Little Egypt", "Love Potion Number Nine", and several others. And so I chose to name this piece in memory of that group and those great hits. Moldy Oldies can make for a fun afternoon.

The artwork also reminds me of my mother's quilts, and the circles she painstaking sewed together by hand to make them. She was very talented and artistic and we got years of use and comfort out of her sewn creations.

I love the beautiful soft, yet bold, pastel colors in this artwork, and the intricate patterns caused by the little cutout areas. You can see inside of each little overlapping sphere through the cutouts, and see how the spheres merge together. It's a fractal, so the pattern repeats infinitely into the depths of the spiral shape. Here's a contemporary artwork that's both complex in its detail, yet simple in its overall structure. It's interesting and pleasing to the eye.

Another globular creation with varying coloration, spirals and reflections! Definately a modern look, and I titled it 'Scorpio' because it reminds me a bit of scorpion tails and galaxy clusters. Whether the viewer likes science or astrology or just something unique and eye-catching, this striking conversation piece will attract interest..

Here's an unusual configuration of feather-like objects, with bright but softly glowing pastel or pencil-like colors, some in shadow and some highlighted, merging together to form a delicate and appealing spiral.

Archangel or cherub? It's not a picture of an angel and it isn't your typical wing. The feathers don't look earthly, but they do look heavenly!

A beautiful spiral design with mixes of black, blues, browns, and tans, with hints of light greens and reds, all coming together in a pleasing, swirling, turbulent pattern. To me, the colors seem to give the art an aged look, like a page from an ancient tome.

There are three other versions of this art in different colors; two of them oriented vertically. They can be found in my Geometric Gallery. One is a soft brown or tan, one a green, and one a soft red (almost a salmon color) and blue. The different colors give the spirals a very different look.
