Spirit & Spirits

Spirit and Spirits to my understanding, are inner, non-ordinary chaotic and orderly flows and patterns of being, power, potential, and possibility we can relate to on purpose through dreaming and imagining. These words invoke universal mystery and inner questing, but need not hold supernatural or theological meanings to evoke the vital principal, or LIFE source, radiating within each and all beings, places, situations, and events within all-there-is.

Spirit and spirits live within all as nature and inner-nature. All are spirit and live as spirit. Spirit and spirits are at once interconnecting and one -- so singular and plural trade places often as I explain my understandings.

Scientists as well as philosophers and theologians study and attempt to describe and comprehend this natural yet mysterious force of forces. Artists, children, and shamans relate to spirit and spirits naturally, showing and telling what they can. Most, if not all, human beings can regain direct access, because, under reality's surfaces, spirit and matter are one, interconnecting whole.

Shamanic ways can be powerful, effective self and world shifting practices, no matter how the shamanizer thinks of or understands spirit and spirits. Traditional and innovative interpretations of spirit and spirits differ, but all shamans relate to spirit as spirits, somehow.

In the countless different shamanisms from all around the world, many diverse images and names for spirit and spirits have arisen. All those figures, symbols, and syllables contain and bring into space-time, then must give up and release, spirit and spirits as creative expressions in energy and matter.

Powerful traditions and religions enclose, bottle up, and trap life spirit and spirits for long periods, but as wind blows away no matter what anyone does to hold it, spirit and spirits shape-shift on though the ages. Children, artists, and shamans (and the child-artists and inner-shamans deep within every one of us) play with and relate to spirit and spirits for growing, transforming, and healing purposes.

Life shifts happen, anyway, but relating to life spirit and spirits directly, daily, opens a vast, inner universes of new, re-creative opportunities, choices and understandings.
