Grateful for the support and the link love

Sharing with you all a collection of blogs - in various languages - that have supported my blog by featuring it in their blogroll or simply linking to it.

I'm very grateful to each one of them for showing their appreciation. It's an interesting collection of ladies (or mostly ladies) writing about writing, politics, theosophy and more.

I've compiled this list in the same week that I've registered a new host (not a new domain) for my blog. It will have been up a year soon and I think it's appropriate to celebrate that turning point by thanking those who've supported the blog in it's early days. I will continue updating this lens till the date of the first post I ever made on All Considering: August 23rd (there's an older post in the archives, but that's a technological fluke). So if you appreciate my blog, please link to your favorite post in a blogpost and get a link back from this lens.

Where I started...

I've been online for ages, but there are two theosophical community blogs that helped me get started as a theosophical blogger: The Theosophical Society issues blog and the Theosophist blog.

Thanks Chris for getting me blogging... I really owe you one.

All Considering Spiritual Blog

This is the blog they're all linking to :) To theosophists it's obviously theosophical, but to other people it's just a general spiritual blog.

Here are my latest posts

Loading Fetching RSS feed... please stand by

Blogher - possibly the link I'm most proud of...

Mata H. says in a post Different spirits from different lives : A Ramble through the blogroll' on BlogHer that she finds my post about renunciation fascinating...

Mirabile Dictu

Feminism, Poetry, Images, Politics

This blogger is definitely a kindred spirit. I called my blog 'all considering', because I wanted to feel free to talk about any topic on there. Still, I've limited myself to mostly spiritual topics. But as I browse the front page of Mirabile Dictu today I find her writing about Vermeer (aka Art) Michael Jackson, anthropology, Zionism, violence against women as well as poems.

Kendra Steiner Editions

Poetry online

KSE is a group blog by a group of poets: Ronald Baatz, Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal, Zachary C. Bush, MK Chavez, Stuart Crutchfield, K . M. Dersley, Jim D. Deuchars, Doug Draime, Michael Layne Heath, A. J. Kaufmann, Brad Kohler, Adrian Manning, Misti Rainwater-Lites, Bill Shute which publishes volumes of poetry privately that sell out each time. These KSE Chapbooks.

Freedom Writing

Kimberlee Ferrell about WAHM, freelance writer, and blogger

This Working At Home Mom writes about adsense, finding inspiration and more. Check out Freedom Writing.

In languages I can't read...

Vajrayana is a blog in what looks to me like Spanish or Portugese. It's a theosophical blog featuring topics like the Bhagavad Gita, the Voice of the Silence and theosophical history.

Teosofia Una is also a theosophical blog, also in either Portugese or Spanish. It seems to discuss theosophy then and now,

I don't really know what language they speak in Slovenia, but Teozofija v Sloveniji also has LOTS of information about the Theosophical Society in English. It's an amazing website that has been and promises to be for a long time an important source of information about the current affairs of the Theosophical Society Adyar. [The editor tells me Slovenia does have it's own language, Slovenian, which origins are pretty obscure - they are mainly Slavic but some researches say that there are also Etruscan.]

Then there's Yeeyan's Chinese blogpost featuring spiritual growth blogs. I'm honored to be one of a hundred :)

Another spanish (I think) language blog that has All Considering in its blogroll: Como Estamos?.

The Rambling Taoist

An asperger (that is a very smart autist) shares his personal stories, interspersed with quotes from the taoist classics. In a true eclectic style The Rambling Taoist writes about religion, Alan Watts, various medical conditions and shares quotes.

I've been tagged...

The tagging fest started when Joyful Days tagged me to write 6 things about myself that people weren't likely to know. So I did write about six things you probably did not know about me and tagged several people in my turn. Of course not everybody played the game. But these two did: Catskill Cottage seed and Creative Mother.

Hot Flashbacks, Cool Insights

Another eclectic blog, this one with a definite spiritual tone. Joyce Mason shares information about astrology, insights, personal anecdotes and universal laws. Her recent post about how her adoption made her a more balanced person is a real eye opener about nature and nurture.

My Little Spiritual Reflections On The Current Financial Crisis

Wai Loong wrote a long article about the financial crisis and spirituality - and for starters he linked to my own post about that subject.

A Personal Journal

A Personal Journal shares short thoughts and travel stories. Cuba, Palm Springs, Ancient History, Agriculture, Taking Responsibility, Obama, Lizards - just some of the topics this eclectic journal covers.

Daily Writing by Lori Tiron-Pandit

Aside from writing about spirituality and poetry (Emily Dickinson), Lori also has an Etsy Shop where she sells her soft home made toys, created from natural fibers.

The Sugar Patch

No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should...

The first lensmaster on the list Boshemia has a spiritual blog called Sugar Patch.

She writes about self help, authentic living, relationships, children, karma, gossip, self esteem and victimization.

Two theosophical Communities

There are two theosophical nings. The first, started up by the American section of the Theosophical Society Adyar is called the Theosophical Community. The other was started a few months later by a former employee of the same to be a haven for theosophists who don't want to get involved in organizational politics: The Theosophical Network.

I'm honored to have my blog featured on the home page of both.

Sharing links blogs

Some blogs are a lot about sharing links with readers - or perhaps primarily about archiving links for later easier reference. Two such blogs singled posts of mine out in the past year (that I can find):

Tristissima liked my post about Blavatsky and socialism.

'Reloaded' liked my post about Osel Hita Torres - aka Lama Osel.

Avoiding Bethel

Christopher Willmot has only started blogging a few months ago, but has gone into subjects like artificial intelligence, tea, spiritual practice, consciousness and more. The post about meekness and morality is only one example of his well written and thought provoking writing.

Something to Add

Human rights in Burma and spiritual insight

Erica Georgiades is one of the more prominent theosophists online. She writes mainly about human rights - Burma in particular - but she also shares inspiration and theosophical insight.

Caravan of Dreams

I'm not the only one doing thank you rounds. When I'd just started blogging, Seeker2008 thanked me as well for 'the sincerity and genuine tone of your blog and your [my] comments.' Well, you're welcome. And thanks for promoting my blog when it was a mere week old.

Confessions of a Mystic

Teresa Silverthorn (gotta love that name) writes about an interesting collection of spiritual topics. From UFO's to Alice in Wonderland, from choosing a path to the power of NO...

Metaphysical Junkie

Reflections on spirituality, personal transformation, self-help and all that mojo stuff.

Writing about the emotions: anger, being happy - that sort of thing. Also includes her 'focus', affirmations, pedicures and so on. Metaphysical Junkie: a self help blog.

On a list of ... a hundred blogs that will inspire you

100 Blogs that Will Inspire You to Be a Better Person - All Considering made no. 62: embracing the spiritual...

And then a mega list of personal development blogs came along and linked to All Considering as well.

Here's another Mega productivity blog list. I'm not sure my blog fits that title, but hey, I'm glad for the mention anyhow.

The Kat's Meow - Katherine Nelson-Reid

She describes herself as a 'Biz Operations Guru, Yoga Instructor, Super Step-mom and Awesome Wife. Living life with humor and zest while learning something new along the way.' Her recent blogposts center on learning online marketing which is, as she rightly notes, a constantly changing field. Her blog's called The Kat's Meow: The meaning of something or someone outstanding and memorable..

Kamath's Paradise - considering evolution...

Evolution has been a theme on my blog from the start. Kamath took issue with my statement that "Evolution is a physical fact. There's no longer the option of denying that science has proved that humans descend from animals which were also the ancestors of the current apes. Even the Roman Catholic Church has officially accepted this." (the purpose of reincarnation; September 17th, 2008)

He feels that: "Our scientists have not witnessed any instance of species evolution what so ever during this period and they are not expecting any such thing in future also." I have to note that most biologists feel that they've seen enough steps in the evolution of species to be able to deny this opinion. However that may be, I do want to thank Kamath for interacting with my blog by responding to one of my pieces.

Foovay's Cauldron

Another lensmaster: Foovay. On Foovay's Cauldron she shares her passion for coloring pages, her life, beauty and sketches.

Bigger sites linking in...

I'm not sure what to do with this one. The Norfolk Spiritual Pathways Examiner is an official looking site. Halima Alette has my blog mentioned as one of her favorites. She writes about meditation, intolerance and religion and responsible parenting - to name just a few.

Daniel Caldwell mentions my blog as one of the theosophical sites online on his TheosophyLinks.net.

Voting for Lama Osel

Here is one lens that choose my post about Lama Osel as her favorite post on my blog:

Robert Thurman.

Squids who are fans enough to...

put all considering in their profile as their favorite blog...

I was a bit flabbergasted to find that two lensmasters have actually chosen to feature my blog, All Considering, as their favorite blog in their lensmaster profile. Kim Manleyort and Dchmelik. I know Dchmelik as a regular commenter on my blog and a facebook friend, but Kim is new to me. Kim is, of the two, the more active lensmaster though. She seems well on her way to become a giant squid.

Mimi, growwear - a real squidoo trooper

I've been telling people about Mimi's / Growwear's squidoo blog a lot recently. I think she's doing a fabulous job highlighting great lenses and asking her readers great questions. Guess what she does in return? She links to the lenses or websites or blogs (depending on which she's already done) of the ones who gave the best answer. And you guessed it: She linked to all considering spiritual blog once too.

Oh, and of course Mimi aka Growwear makes great squidoo lenses as well.
