Spiritual Healing Requires Us to Change our Focus.

Anyone who has been hurt in any way needs spiritual healing.  It's not about voodoo.  It's about getting the hurts and pains out and putting something positive back in. You can start your healing journey at Spiritual-Health-Source.

You can think of Spiritual Health Source as a Biblical fitness center for the soul; a Christian Spiritual Health Club if you will. We focus on obtaining a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.

We will be your personal fitness trainers. As we find Biblical truths about healing and happiness, we will share them with you in our online Bible studies.

Our basic theory is that in order to achieve spiritual healing through your Christian faith, you have to change your focus.  Focus on God, letting His words replace all of the negative things you have been taught about yourself.   His words will manifest in your life bringing healing and happiness.

Beating the Winter Blues

Help for Depression

This is my way of beating the winter blues:

With the gray skies of winter looming above me, my spirit sinks into a lowly state. It's January, and we have weeks of winter left to endure. Oh, for a sunny day!

I ventured outside this morning for a breath of fresh air and took a close look around our courtyard. Instantly, I felt relief. Already, life is beginning to peak out from the darkness where it sleeps. The bare branches of our Bradford Pear tree show signs of the next season of beauty.

Once again, I found God's promise that this dark time shall pass. Something new and beautiful is just around the bend. Patience, my friend, patience.

Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

Hunting Season

I wrote Hunting Season for my husband, Steve. This describes completely. His kind of hunting keeps him spiritually sound.

Hunting season is in full swing again. I'm not a hunter, but I do love nature. I love animals. I love to watch them, learn about their habitats and how they fit into the bigger picture around them. I see miracle after miracle watching each different species blend so intricately into the ecosystem around it; each with its very special purpose.

No, I'm no hunter, so to speak, but what I do hunt, I find!

I find a lonely hawk soaring above my home each day looking for his evening meal. I find aunts, dragging objects several times their size from one end of my patio to the other; they're keeping it clean. I find the first delicate hummingbird returning in late Spring; so, so beautiful.

I find deer, prancing through a golden field, even though they are almost completely camouflaged by the tall grasses surrounding them. I wonder if anyone else saw them. Was anyone else hunting?

I find these things, because I hunt for these things.

I find beauty in these things, because I hunt for beauty in these things.

I find miracles in these things, because I hunt for God in these things.

Matt 7:7-8
7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (NIV)

My life is not perfect, but I see perfection on the horizon. I see light at the end of the tunnel. I see this, because when my work day is done, my real hunting season begins. I open my Bible and hunt for truth, I hunt for healing and happiness. I find it. Is anyone else hunting?
