philosophy from the past

hello,

whats the answer to life, this is certainly a heavy topic and highly debated, often heated and draining to people with opposite views and always full of religion extremism

i am going to avoid all that and just focus on simple stuff.

it is best that you fully think out the stuff that have a big impact your life, on this website its religion, off this website it could be anything else.

this lens is a introduction to my heavier philosophical websites listed below.

whats the answer to life

light reading only

take some time to relax..
try to think of the feeling of hot water now without language.

think without using any words to describe what you know is the feeling of hot water.

another simple thought exercise would be thinking about someone you love, without the usual words flashing in your mind about all the reasons why you love.

why do you need to think without words ?
Well, the answer to life is universal.

See, why are words blocking your spiritual development ? if you are a christian then let me ask you, is the truth of jesus universal or is it just limited to those who know about it and believe it.

is jesus true to people with different languages, true to people with different skin color, different gender, born in different countries, even different religion.

then in that case, if your mind is still shackled in language, your spiritual development can only reach "so far"

i hope you can get what im trying to say, the above can also be applied to muslims/buddhists/hindus as you just need to substitute the word christian with the word of your religion and you get the picture..

let me explain futher
Fire is hot, it does not need any written rule or any explaination. it just is hot.

Ice is cold, is ice cold because everyone believes ice is cold ?

Is ice cold to all humans, to all animals, to all insects ?

Ice is cold, this applys to every living creature in this world AND has always been this way from the start of time till now.

something that is a universal truth, is known to all living creatures. something that is written down, is it known to all ? is it true to do those who have never heard of it ? see thats where the question is.

cold can be written in many languages but the feeling is universal, if we were to strip away language in our search for answers and focus on the universal feelings behind language, is that possible ?

i was at another lens today and saw this sentence, nothing new under the sky to man..man has no new emotions, love,hate,anger,forgiveness...whatever emotion another person felt 3000 years ago is the same emotion we can experience today

using the sky as practise

what color is the sky ? to you it is blue. to animals who can only see black and white, the sky is either black or white, to insects it is a different color, to blind people the sky is the same color as the earth. the sky appears in different colors to different living creatures, what is the real color of the sky ? thats the truth.

look at the sky, think of all the different languages and words for sky, think of the word "sky" in chinese, the word "sky" in french, the word "sky" in german, the word "sky" in indian, the word "sky" in italian - so i ask you, what is "sky" ?

if you think blue,clouds, thats already 2 words.

ok, hope i did not cause you to be overwhelmed by now
i will be stopping this lens here...too many questions to think about will only mean most of it goes out the other ear

Hello Inquirersg,
I think sometimes "Christians" unintentionally get stuck in living life on auto-pilot! If the name of Jesus doesn't immediately appear; old-school thinkers may get triggered into thinking that this is some "new age stuff."
Truth is, I believe that questions about love, life and the meaning of it all are welcomed by our Father; aka GOD!
He's the ultimate in intelligence, a boundless creator; and a masterful designer. I don't think he minds our probing hearts! I like the way you challenge us to think without language. So often the Bible tells us that Jesus was moved with COMPASSION.
We see the effect his compassion... multitudes were healed because Jesus felt the feeling of their illnesses and their needs, and was the solution they needed! He's certainly touched my life with compassion, and I take all my ponderings to HIM!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and allowing me to reciprocate. I invite you to ponder Jesus... He loves you, you know!

Hello, I appreciate your lens and request to join CDI. The group is focused around Jesus so if you add content relating to Jesus I will be happy to add it. I gave you 5 stars by the way. I love to ponder!
