Spiritual Short Stories

Life can be full of moments of clarity, and joy.

There are certain things common among all humans. You could be a lawyer or a retail clerk in our hearts we truly are all the same. When days have been bad I like to read a story to lift my heart and soul. I found a wonderful site which has excellent stories and also a newsletter and ability to submit your own stories and comment on others.
Inside of each of us is the ability to succeed Do not give up on YOU.
The key is to pursue doing the things you love for income then it is not a job.

"We cannot give that which we do not already have."
Remember the best way to help yourself is by helping others

What It Means To Be Adopted

This one is very close to my heart as I am adopted and able to locate my Biological Mother and Sister

Teacher Debbie Moon's first-graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had different color hair than the other family members.

One child suggested that he was adopted, and a little girl named Jocelynn Jay said, "I know all about adoptions because I'm adopted."

"What does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child.

"It means," said Jocelynn, "that you grew in your mother's heart instead of her tummy."

The power of the struggle

Never give up you will learn from every hurdle.

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole at the end.

Eventually, the butterfly stopped making progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. The man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If nature allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. And we could never fly...

Embrace people who embrace you.

Life can become complicated, be like water keep it simple.

Drowning Man
by Unknown

While out to sea, a large boat became shipwrecked and there was only a single survivor. This man prayed and asked God to save his life. Soon thereafter, another boat came by and offered the man some help.

"No thanks," he said. "I'm waiting for God to save me."

The men on the boat shrugged their shoulders and continued. As the man became more deeply concerned, another boat came by. Again, the people aboard offered this man some help, and again he politely decline. "I'm waiting for God to save me," he said again.

After some time, the man began to lose his faith, and soon after that he died. Upon reaching Heaven, he had a chance to speak with God briefly.

"Why did you let me die? Why didn't you answer my prayers?"

"Dummy, I sent you two boats!"

The Universe is always watching out for the best interests of our spiritual evolution, even when we are too narrowly focused to see all the other opportunities it presents us. Sometimes, all that is needed is a change of perspective.

Hi there Chris, yes, I wrote a book called Karma's Story about transcending the story itself. It is a Squidoo lens by the same name. I'm here on Squidoo mainly to promote the book and my related writing. The 'new' life or story is wonderful. Weight loss, health benefits, peace.. most of the negativity of the previous story has fallen away and no longer acts to block happiness. Thanks for the great tips for living a spiritual life, I'd like to read your stories when the opportunity arises.Namaste and blessings.

    Dear all,
I hope more and more people open their eyes and see the spiritual world that is all around us. I had suffered from depression due to my father's death and one day I saw a light shining on me and filling me with love for the world. Now I can see people with different eyes and I have answers for all the things that before were only questions to me.
I am fund raising my album, as I am a songwriter, and my goal is to bring a message of love and hope to the world through my music.
Never lose faith, YOU ARE MADE OF LOVE SINCE YOU WERE BORN, you have just forgotten it.
