Deepen Your Walk!
Spiritual Teamwork is a discipleship training ministry focusing on helping Christians deepen their walk with Christ. We are committed to providing low cost or no cost discipleship materials in order to accomplish this goal.
Through strengthening the individual believer the church as a whole will be strengthened. By strengthening of the church through the individual believers we will see the Christian church again become a beacon to society as a whole.
It is the mission of Spiritual Teamwork to:
- Glorify God in all we do
- Aid believers in deepening their walk with the Lord
- Help facilitate the strengthening of the church at large through the strengthening of each individual believer.
- We believe that by glorifying our Lord Jesus in what we do, we will begin to strengthen believers in what they do.
- We believe that in order for a believer to see the world around them as God sees it they must first get away from that world to see God for who he is.
While our list is not long, it is not as simple as it sounds. Yes we want to glorify God as does every ministry and believer.
It is our belief that the American Christian Church today has become entrenched with the world instead of being a force for change.
Instead of emulating Christ in order to transform the world, the church is emulating the world in order to change the church.
The Church has missed the second part of the great commission. We have been so busy trying to make converts we have failed to make disciples. It is this call to discipleship that drives this ministry. What we want to do is instill a deeper walk with Christ that is transformational.
I believe that as we grow as Christians, we can use some spiritual disciplines to develop a deeper relationship with Christ. We are called to live holy lives, and live them as unto the Lord in all parts of our life. Disciplines are used only for spiritual growth and not as a means of salvation. I do not believe that you must do the spiritual disciplines to be saved I only use them as a framework for spiritual growth.

Why Do We Believe We Need The Disciplines Today?
We believe the trend in churches today is away from discipleship and focused more on getting new believers. While bringing someone to Christ is part of our great commission from Christ, it is only one part. The second part of that commission is to make disciples. We believe that in making disciples the spiritual disciplines are the closest thing we can find modeled by Christ in his life.
In his book The Spirit of the Disciplines: Understanding How God Changes Lives Dallas Willard uses the analogy of an athlete that kids would model themselves after when they played ball. That athlete did not become a great athlete by sitting on the sideline he or she became a great athlete by training him or herself daily for the game. Just as these athletes performed great under pressure it is when we are under pressure that we see how well we have trained. If we have read the scriptures a little and shown up for church we may not act like our example, Christ. On the other hand if we have trained daily, when the time comes, we will not loose our cool or act inappropriately. We will be the example some young boy or girl will want to emulate because they have seen Christ in us.
