What's a splatter screen?
And why do I need one?
A splatter screen is a flat circle of mesh that rests over the top of your skillet. They are available in metal or silicone.Christmas Eve. at my house means plenty of frying fish and before I had a splatter screen, it meant plenty of painful little grease burns on my hands, and sometimes even my face, too!
I used to be terrified while frying my seafood but those days are over. Now I just pop my splatter screen over the top of the fry pan while everything is cooking, and when I need to turn the food, I hold the screen in front of the pan so there's no chance of me getting popped in the face by boiling oil anymore!
I learned how important a splatter screen can be the hard way, but you don't have to. Get a splatter screen for yourself today. I promise you that the next time you're treating the family to a fried, (or even braised) dinner you'll be glad you did!

- I have a couple of these but haven't been able to find them since we moved. Now my new kitchen (recently remodeled) is getting grease splattered everywhere when my husband cooks. Better invest in a new one.

- Yes, I have been burned - even ruined a pair of glasses from hot grease flying onto my face. Have I purchased a splatter screen? Unfortunately, I do not even learn the hard way.

- A splatter screen is something I always intend to buy but never get round to buying. This is probably because I only think about it when I'm being splattered by flying oil. I really must try to remembe3r to buy one.
