why do the Chinese women look so young?

a little help from spleen

this is what I've noticed from seeing all the female professors in my TCM school. almost all of they look at least 20 years younger than their actual age. i suspect the following is true:
1. they don't eat a lot of sweets, in fact, most Chinese desserts are not that sweet. think sweet bean soup and almond jello.
2. they don't drink cold drinks often. cold injures spleen and they know that for a fact.
3. they exercise moderately. most of them either do taichi or qi gong. moving around is good for the spleen.

    Nice blog post. I would like to try doing some qi gong too, but staying away from sweets may be tad hard for me but I will surely try if I want to look young and be healthy.
