Creepy Trees for Your Halloween, Fantasy, Spooky, or Gothic Digital Artwork

Trees are such an important tool in setting the mood in a piece of art. Choosing the perfect tree for your digital artwork can be a daunting task, so I have chosen some of my favorite sets of photoshop brushes featuring spooky, creepy, ghostly, scary, or otherwise haunting trees. You will surely find something here for your digital art.

There are many great resources for photoshop brushes of trees, but make sure you always read the permissions on each brush set you choose to sample from, and be careful to follow their guidelines of use and crediting.

I love this brush set of 12 trees by deathoflight. It screams creepy.

Whether you are making a creepy forest or graveyard scene, or need a backdrop for your vampires, werewolves, witches, zombies, or haunted houses, there is surely a brush in here that would do the trick.

Cute & Creepy Trees

These are the cutest little spooky emo trees I ever saw. Gurly has outdone herself with these cute creepy tree brushes.

They could be used in make some great Halloween greeting cards, and in paper arts in general. They would be easy to cut out for scrapbooking.

One of these trees would easily complete your haunted house picture. It certainly looks like the kind of tree a black cat might hang out around.

These trees seem to give off just a have just a hint of life ... in a they-might-come-to-life-and-attack-you kind of way.

this is very cool lens. I LOVE winter trees, they are very spooky in the right light. After all the leaves have fallen off, It is amazing the intricacy of trees. They are beautiful. Thanks!
