Creepy, Spooky Halloween Recipes
Welcome to WhiteOak's Kitchen
of Spooky Halloween Treats
I wanted to list some yummies for the little ones to have for Halloween. What is more fun then to have a bowl of food with a very odd name that really does not look that good, but taste really yummy? Children love this kind of stuff. The very best part of this is the children will be real excited to help you! Just imagine all of the laughter and the fun you will have together.
Today, many families are not allowing their children to go trick-or-treating because of safety issues. Halloween is one of those days most children count down the days to celebrate. So if you are one the families joining the millions of other families by not allowing your children to go door to door collecting yummies, why not bake some and have a little party? Remember you do not have to spend lots of money to make your childrens goodies. These are easy recipes, and you can make as many adjustments to them as you want too.
Okay, let's get started!!

Halloween Ghoulish Party Food Ideas

Halloween simply wouldn't be the same if it weren't for the foods that people serve. It is a good opportunity to get creative with the foods that you serve at the party. As a matter of fact, the funniest part of eating on a Halloween party comes fro...
Fresh Grave Dirt Sauce (AppleButter)
Not my original recipe but after casting a little hocus pocus on it and stirring it in my cauldron, I must admit, this is a wickly good treat!5 lb. bag of apples, peeled, cored and diced.
1 1/2 cups packed of brown sugar
1/2 cup of apple juice
1 teaspoon of allspice
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of cloves
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Mix all ingredient together in a cauldron (crockpot) cover and let it cook until the apples are tender about (6-10 hours on low) Use a hand blender or a masher and puree the apples so they are smooth. Cook another hour or two until mixture has thickened. Cool about 2 hours and spoon into containers. This applebutter will stay in the refrigerator up to three weeks. If it is too thick, add little apple juice and mix together really good. If it is too thin, it needs to cook longer.
