Tips on finding a good vendor
Listen up!
Get any examples of work they have done.
Pictures are great but try for some thing more tangible.
If they do automotive applications ask for a few dealer references.
Make sure to talk to either the used cars sales manager or the new cars sales managers when asking about the quality of the work.
When all else fails ask a few friends, you DID hear about if from some one else didn't you?
Bed liner process
basic run down on how a bed liner is sprayed
- So let's say we're going to spray your pickup:
- Cover all the wheels
- cover the cab and hood
- remove and prep the tailgate
- cover the lower sides of the truck
- remove anything in the box (hardware/stuff/5th wheel)
- prepare most of the box surface
- apply finishing wire to the truck(gotta have clean edges!)
- paper to the edge of the finishing wire
- blow out the dust from the box prep
- wipe down the surface to be sprayed with a prep chemical
- suit up and shoot
- pull finishing wire before the liner gets too cold (a clean line is all in the technique)
- remove coverings protecting vehicle
- assemble anything removed from bed
- add tailgate
- check vehicle for possible overspray
- done!
