A number of years ago I discovered spray tanning. I loved it so much that I went ahead and set up my own salon in a beautiful little town in Australia called Byron Bay.
I thought it would be really easy, because every spray tan is the same - perfect. Right?
Well, I was in for a surprise.
There is so much more to spray tanning than meets the eye.
I have learned the hard way, that when you are dealing with human skin, there are a lot of variables.
However, with a bit of knowledge you will almost always get a great tan.
Later I gave up my salon, because I discovered joys of working on internet, from home.
But my years in spray tanning business did not go to waste (I am still deeply involved in the industry).

Forget skin cancer - there is a "better" reason to switch from UV to sunless tanning.
However, one day I saw a very real proof of how quickly UV tanning can affect the skin.
Two friends walked into my salon. One deeply tanned brought her very pale friend for a spray tan before a big night out. From what I saw I assumed that the pale one was in her early 20s and the tanned one was around 30.
While the pale one was in the spray tan booth I had a conversation with her friend and discovered that the tanned one was addicted to solarium beds, and has been tanning regularly for 3 years.
To my horror I found out that they were BOTH 22years old.
I never imagined that 3 years of tanning beds could add 10 years to your skin's appearance.

I never knew that you can write a whole lens (or website for that matter) about spray tanning. I wasn't really interested, but found myself reading anyway, and learnt a lot.

On Saturday when we were at the shops minding our own business we were approached by a woman working for a shop that was having an open day. They asked if the boys would like a free spray tan. I think the real appeal for the guys (those of you who know them will understand) was that they got to get down to their undies in front of everyone. The spray tan was done out the front of the shop in front of passers by. These were taken on my phone so you will have to excuse any poor quality, and also excuse the voices etc (and strange laughs) in the background coz the format my phone took it in, wouldnt let me edit it out. OH AND HERE'S THE PLUG...... THE SPRAY TAN WAS DONE AT THE NEW SHOP, 'HAIRHOUSE WAREHOUSE' IN TUGGERAH WESTFIELD (NSW AUSTRALIA). I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN THAT IF YOU GO THERE FOR ONE YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO STAND OUTSIDE THE SHOP FOR IT.
