Hi...Penny Black 1840 is a resource for philatelists and stamp collectors where I can share scanned images of the Penny Black and other Victorian stamps from my own collection with other stamp collectors. After having run work-related websites for years, this one is purely a personal passion!My background was originally in art and design so I've been particularly interested in creating designs for T-shirts that take the Penny Black as a starting point - designs that are both instantly recognisable to the philatelist yet look intriguing and stylish to the non-stamp collector too!
