Spring and Summer 2009 office wear

This season brings in a new take on skirt suits. The look is structured.
Where past collections focused the waist, with nipped waisted jackets and belts, 2009 office clothes skim the waist. the jackets are no longer hour glass.
The look is boxy. Square. Structured yet hints at the waist.

What's hot for spring/summer 2009 at Armani

Add on a touch of Armani. At least, capture the essence of Armani in your Spring 2009 wardrobe by adding a black jacket with stiff strong shoulders that jut out. Maybe through stiff oversized sleeves. Add on a black skirt that flares sharply at the bottom, like the flipped bob hairdo.

Spring 2008 Office Wear

Classics In Workwear from Spring and Summer 2009

It is a new year, yet many elements from last year's Spring remain. Spring and Summer bring the return of bright colors and a certain lightness that comes with the passing of Winter. This year, tie dye is back, in the form of dresses classy enough for a fancy dinner date. As for the office, the white pantsuit's a winner. Black is in every single season and this Spring is no exception. Belts, (thick or thin, it doesn't matter) cinch waists and skirt suits, office wear staples are perfect for the current season as they have always been throughout the past seasons.

One thing to note, the big office wear staple for Spring 2008 is the trench coat. Belted or not, that is one jacket that will take you through the rest of Spring and will come in handy in Fall, Winter and well into the coming years.

Go for classics. They are great investments. Spring 2008 Fashion trends lists some of the hottest looks this Spring.

Spring 2007 Thru Summer 2007 Office Attire

Classics for Spring and Summer in the office wear department

Spring is back, Time to lighten up your look.

For Spring 2007, bright colors are back. As are prints, florals and billowy clothes. Pink is a hot color in spring, which isn't surprising since the right shade of pink brings out a woman's radiance.

Unfortunately, the most eye-catching clothes on the catwalks are very faddish... they'd look dated next season. On top of that, Spring 2007 looks are too girlish for the office... or are they?

How do you stay with the trends and still look appropriate for the office?

What classics would take you through Spring and Summer 2007 and still look professional enough for the office?

Go for the classics. You can't go wrong with well made Italian handbags. That would take you through Spring 2007 and beyond. Great handbags are wonderful investments. Notice how an expensive looking handbag makes everything you're wearing look a whole lot classier. Expensive looking doesn't mean you'd get it debt. Not if you go for the upcoming Italian designers who are brilliant, but who are still regarded as well kept secrets by the fashion savvy.

Another thing you can get that is seasonless is the white shirt. This is the most classic item in your wardrobe which can take you through work and play. You could buy your own or steal your guy's.

For a dash of springtime color, a pink shirt would usher in your spring look and still look professional. You could wear it loose, on its own or as a light jacket over a flirty dress after work.

Since it is spring, lighten up. Throw on a linen jacket for that approachable, yet professional look which is light enough for Spring.

If you prefer wearing pants at work, get a pair of linen pants as well. Linen is a wonderful fabric to wear, both because of its comfort and its look. The jacket and pants would be perfect for Spring and Summer every year.  When you wear linen pants, you'd realize that you'd look better than if you were to wear pants made of synthetic fibers. The difference is subtle. There, but you can't pin point exactly what makes you look so good. Natural fabrics have that kind of effect as they fall, crease and flow in a manner that flatters the wearer.

During spring, flowers bloom in the garden and on clothes. You'd see floral dresses everywhere. Floral skirts that are flared and this spring, billowy clothes that are more feminine, datewear than office wear. For the office, you can still have florals and prints that characterize Spring 2007 without going overboard. Do this through accents like floral scarves or printed tops for a feminine touch, that's still very professional.

Since color and prints are in for Spring, yet might look to frivolous for the office, anchor your look with a black skirt for a professional image.  A black skirt would balance the brights that are very hot this season.

Seasonless Accessories

Some accessories are investments that would take you through all four seasons

Handbags are the accessories to invest in. A great bag can take you from one season to the next, from one year to another. The problem with bags, like dresses, is that you might meet someone at the party who is carrying a bag identical to yours.

One way around this is to get unique bags that are hard to find. Once you find such well made bags from brilliant, but relatively unknown designers, invest in them. They would make an excellent addition to your wardrobe.
