An eBay store widget for MySpace

Ranked #15,973 in Computers & Electronics, #319,724 overall

An alternative to eBay ToGo widgets

So you saw the pretty eBay Store wigdets you can make at eBay To Go. You walk through all the steps, get it all set up, copy and paste it to your MySpace page, and then...

...it just sits there, looking pretty, but has no clickability!

What is the point of having a scrolling gallery of your current auctions and store items if nobody can click on them and buy stuff from you?

Well, I have the solution for you, in just 10 easy steps.

How its done

  1. Go to your eBay store and view it as you were a customer (click on the red door next to your name anywhere on the eBay site ).
  2. Scroll down to the very bottom of your store, right click on the orange RSS button and copy the link location for your RSS feed.
  3. Click this link to visit The Springbox, where you can make an Express Widget.
  4. Paste that link you just saved from your store into the Enter feed or blog URL box. Click on Submit.
  5. Configure your widget to look how you want. You can even incorporate multiple stores into one if you wish, just paste in the link from the orange RSS button from each store.
  6. When you have your widget looking how you'd like, click on Publish my widget.
  7. Create an account (if you haven't already) and click on the Register and Publish my Widget button to get your MySpace code.
  8. Click on the MySpace icon to get the code that works on MySpace.
  9. Click in the box and copy the code, and paste it in whichever section of your MySpace profile you want it to appear.
  10. And there you have it! A gallery of your eBay items that users can see AND click through to!

Hi, nice lens. Yup, eBay is a great place to sell (or buy!) pretty much anything. I haven't heard of this widget before. Here are 2 very good eBay buying resources that only the best insiders know about that I want to share with you.. They help you hunt down terrific bargains on eBay. eBay auctions ending soon with no bids, and Last minute eBay auctions. Auctions ending in less than 1 hr. for less than $1.00!

It will be next to your user id if you have an ebay store. If you don't, I don't think ebay creates RSS feeds for sellers who do not have stores so it wouldn't work for you.
