Remote controlled robot with extras

Spykee may be the most full featured mass production robot toy on the market now. Dubbed a spy robot, it does more than snap pictures. Depending on the model you can use it as a VOI phone and an MP3 player with speakers and lights. Its definitely more than the usual walker. Further, the operating software is open source. Several programming enthusiasts are busy preparing their own tweaks to the Spykee.

Your Personal Surveillance Drone

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Spykee is the possibility of using it as remote security. It is very close to an Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicle. Here are some feature that make it suited for the role:

    - Remote Control over the internet via wifi
    - Transmit video or still shots
    - Transmit audio
    - Auto docks to recharge
    - Motion Detector

The operator can leave a Spykee in one location and control it from another so long as there is internet access. The Spykee can patrol the location or it can be left at one spot with the motion detector and alarm active. When the Spykee's battery runs low it will head to its docking station and recharge.

The Spykee comes in different models, some with less features than others. one plus with this robot is you can actually change the physical configuration, making it look different from time to time.

    Indeed there are many people doing amazing things with this robot! I drive my Spykee from my Android smartphone with app ASPYKEE.
