SpyZooka Review

I hate spyware and I am sure all of you guys will feel the same. I was honestly tired of all the spyware in my computer and sadly none of the *free* tools were able to completely clean my computer, sure they used to find a few spywares but they would always leave behind the more annoying ones. Well that is when I decided to try Spyzooka as I had heard some great things about this product.

The reason I chose spyzooka over other spyware removal tools was their 100% spyware removal guarantee. No other tool offers a 100% removal guarantee. So I decided to install it and give it a try. This lens will provide you with an in depth SpyZooka Review and also explains my experience with the tool. I will also explain how this tool performed on a test I performed on a virtual machine.

How SpyZooka was Born

Carl Haugen, back in 2004 was just like any other internet user and was surfing the internet when his computer hot infected with a spyware, after that he tried to remove the spyware using the popular anti-spyware programs of the time but none of them were able to clean his system, so finding no other way he had do format his hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows.
After this experience he found out that no anti spyware tool was capable of removing 100% of infections from an infected system. Based on this finding he founded BluePenguin Software, the company that developed spyzooka. Spyzooka quickly became popular because of its 100% cleaning guarantee. If spyzooka was unable to clean your system in the first scan then a custom email along with the scan report will be sent to spyzooka labs where they will generate a custom signature just for you and will send you the update within 24 hours. This way they get to clean a system completely within 24 hours. No other tool offers this service.

The SpyZooka Spyware Test

How SpyZooka performed on a heavily infected system

SpyZooka was successful in cleaning up my lightly infected system but to find out how it would perform on a heavily infected system. For this purpose I setup a virtual system on my computer, a virtual system is basically a computer within a computer or in other words a separate operating system is emulated within an existing operating system. To find out more about virtual machines you can check out this article on wikipedia.
Now thats enough explanations and its time to move on to the test. Like I said I had setup a virtual machine on my computer and after that I installed Windows XP SP2 on that virtual system.

And finally it was time to get infected. I connected to the internet and browsed all kind of shady sites, I went to every crack and keygen site I could find, and I had already detected some heavy infections as my virtual Windows was acting really slow now and was also refusing to open up some commands. I was also getting some annoying pop-ups.

Now this was the time to test SpyZooka. I installed it on the system and it started without the need for a restart. And since I had bought the full version of SpyZooka I was able to run a full scan on my system. The scan was fairly quick, a lot quicker than any other anti-spyware tool I had used. And the scan results were also impressive, spyzooka had found 15 trojans, 7 adware, 3 tracking cookies, and 10 spyware. I was surprised that I was able to get so much spyware on my pc so fast.

After the scan and a system restart I was still getting those annoying pop-ups. So spyzooka had missed some infections after all, but spyzooka had a soltion for this as well. The software has an easy method of uploading the scan report to Spyzooka labs. They then monitor the report and update the virus definitions accordingly.

So I sent them an email along with my report and to my surprise i got a reply from them within 24 hours telling me to update my virus definitions and scan again. Surely the second scan cleaned my system completely.

I'm sure this is what they mean by their guarantee of completely cleaning your system within 24 hours.

Final Thoughts

Small Size:

SpyZooka is a small file of around 2 MB. So it downloads quickly and installs quickly as wee. Another advantage spyzooka has over other anti-spyware files is that it is "light" even after install. Most anti-spyware tools are so bloated that they affect the system speed and puts a lot of load on the system thus also increasing startup times. But the reason I loved spyzooka is that it was so light that it had no effect whatsoever on the startup time or on the system load. Its a small tool used for exactly what it was designed for i.e. eliminating spyware.

Stability:

I have been using SpyZooka for about 2 months now and would like to confirm that it is one of the most stable applications I've ever had the pleasure of using.

Real-Time Protection:

Spyzooka comes with a "SpyGuard" feature, which runs in the background and ensures that no spyware enters your system. If any attempt to do so, you will be notified and the connection aborted.

Ease of Use:

The interface of Spyzooka is extremely neat and simple. Its a welcome change from the over complicated and flashy interface of most anti-spyware programs.

And that was my SpyZooka Review. Hope you guys found it to be useful.
