Things you can do to spice up a squidoo page part1
I've continued this with information on making sidebars in Squidoo.
Styling up a block of text
Including style in a <P> tag.
This should be Red text
You create the red text above by using a <P> tag combined with a style parameter. Here is what you should type into you text area.
<p style="color:red"> This should be Red text</p>
Using display block in a style.
There are times that you might want to make a block of colored text on a lens.
This is stuff in a box
<p style ="display:block; width:200px; height:100px; background-color:lightpink; text-align:center"p>
This is stuff in a box </p>
What is going on here, the style display:block turns the paragraph tag <p> into a square box. The height and width are self explanatory. background-color is the color of the box's background and text-align can be center, left, right or justify.
For color you can use the hex code starting with a pound sign (#), but I like to use the color names. There are over 100 of these defined. Here are some colors to get you started.
