Lenses Blessed by Squid Angel Comfortdoc
I knew once I heard about becoming a Squid Angel, that I would want to follow in the angel steps of my Squidoo pals and Angel Mentors, Kim Giancaterino and Chef Keem and keep track of the lenses that were blessed.
This not only helps create a recording of the lenses blessed, but it also helps the blessed lenses with another link. In addition it serves as my Angel Blessing Guide for the types of lenses that I deem worthy of this Squid Angel's blessings.
Read on because you are likely to find many wonderful lenses in this growing list of Lenses Blessed by Squid Angel Comfortdoc.

Thoughts on Being a Squid Angel
The thoughtful Angel Scribe image that I found, the Scarlet and Gold Subject, I think captures my feelings about being an Angel.I take the duty of being a newly appointed Squid Angel seriously. Being a Squid Angel comes with a great deal of responsibility. It is the task of the Angels to find the best of the best Squidoo lenses to bless and to keep the top 100 lenses free of junk and spam.
Lenses that I bless will be thoughtfully and carefully selected.from lenses and lensmasters that I know about and lenses and lensmasters that I discover flying around Squidoo with Angel wings.

What do I look for to Bless a Lens?
Here are my top 12 taken from my own preferences, Squidoo experiences, teaching experience, publishing experience and advice from my Squid Angel Mentors, Kim Giancaterino and Chef Keem.
- Research your topic.
See if someone else has done the topic you have in mind. If it's not there great. If you think you can do it better, go for it. - Let your visitors interact with the lens.
Add a Guestbook, a Duel or a Predictions Module or some other way for guests to leave a message or state their opinion. - Give it personal touch.
This includes personalizing your bio. The add other personal touches, whether an experience, images, reviews, custom headings or separators etc. Readers like to be pulled into the lens. - Use some of the interesting modules.
Squidoo has a lot of interesting modules for their lensmasters to include. Pick a few to 'spice' up the lens. - Avoid the smoke and mirrors.
Don't just make the lens a sales pitch for a product, service or eBook. - Include some great images.
There are several ways to include images in a lens with the text, big text, polaroid and flickr modules. The Video module is another way to add images. - Give Back. Support a charity.
The lens doesn't entirely need to donate to a charity, but since Squidoo was founded on charity work I think this is an important item. - Change the default module headings.
Nothing gives away a lack of attention to detail more than continuing to use the default headings. - Cite your sources.
I firmly believe that credit should be given where credit is due for information and images. - Check for typos, spelling and grammar.
- Include other relevant lenses.
There are a lot of other good lenses on Squidoo. Take a bit of time to do some research and include the relevant ones on your lens. - Give your visitors a reason to read.
Make sure that your reader will learn something, find a good resource or have a good chuckle from reading your lens.
