I am the Community Angel
For me, I am looking at my Squidoo Angel duties as an opportunity to help the community of Squidoo. If you have read any of my posts in The Howling Squid Review or on the Squidlog online magazine, you will know that I a huge supporter of the community and helping it grow stronger and better.
As a Squidoo Angel, I am going to use my abilities as an extension of this commitment to the Squidoo community. Angels have the duty to bless excellent lenses, and ding incomplete, bad, or spam lenses as well as to report any lenses that do not belong in the community. I will be looking for lenses to bless as I make my way through Squidoo, but if I come across one that should be dinged, I won't hesitate to do so.
Each Squidoo Angel has been assigned five main categories to patrol. Mine are: About Me, Health and Medicine, Business, Shopping, and Entertainment. But that doesn't mean that we cannot bless lenses in any category. If I come across a deserving lens in another category, I will immediately bless it. If you would like a blessing, feel free to leave a link on this lens, but remember like the picture in this module, there is a light and dark side of Squidoo Angels.

Metamorphosis

All lensmasters go through a metamorphosis during their journey on Squidoo. As an angel, I will be encouraging that metamorphosis toward a more mature and better lensmaster. Therefore, I will be easier on newbies than established lensmasters. One of the great things about Squidoo is that our lenses can be added to or changed at any time.
What Can the Average Lensmaster Do to Help the Squidoo Community
One way you can support the Squidoo community is to be active in it. That includes participating in the SquidU form, by helping others, critiquing them, and supporting them in their goals.
Another way is to report both great lenses, and any lenses you see that violate the Squidoo TOS. You can let people know about great lenses in the Lenses We Like forum or suggest them for Lens of the Day or Purple Star (if they are Giant lenses). If they are violating TOS, report them with the report abuse button on every lens.

Angels come in all different shapes, sizes, colors and types, and I plan to be a medley of all of those. Often you will know I have been there, but sometimes you won't. I will be flying around the site looking for both blessworthy and dingworthy lenses. So I may be a chameleon blending in with the surroundings.
Here is what I expect to see if you are deserving of a blessing:
All default titles are changed.
Your bio is filled in.
You have changed the default template and made it your own.
Your lens topic is focused and interesting.
Your lens has personality.
You have incorporated images.
There is something special about your lens--that makes it better than a five star.
Your lens is engaging in some sort of way.
