What is this Squidoo thing anyhow?

We have to learn to crawl before we can swim with the big fish, and Squidoo is no different. Squidoo has a small learning curve, but a curve just the same. It takes some playing around to figure out what all of the modules do, how they work, when to use them and where.

Once you get the hang of it, Squidoo is a pretty simple place to navigate and set up a proper home. I have found many great lensmasters willing to help new squids learn to navigate the unfamiliar waters.

My first Squidoo friendship came by way of Tagfoot when I met Mr. Ron Rink. His grace and compassion for others is clear in all he does. He has contributed to my life in many ways, even contributing to my blog from time to time, and even though he only has the one lens it is well worth reading.

Then we have my beloved clouda9, she contacted me for an interview after reading one of my lenses.The interview appeared on her blog "Your Girl Friday" and the friendship blossomed from there.

Just knowing her has been a blessing, she always has a kind word or helpful hint and doesn't resort to negativity even for a moment. Yet she also has the heart of a warrior, when she sees something wrong in the world she says something about it. Taking the time to get to know her is well worth it, she will bless your life in so many ways.

I met spirituality through Squidoo but it was her blog All Considering that hooked me. She is such a thoughtful and peace centered person, her goal really is to make the world a better place.

There is a reason she has nearly 700 fans here at Squidoo. She is dedicated to inspiring, uplifting, and enriching the lives of all she meets.

Then came Mimi, she is one of the more visible personalities on Squidoo but that is because she is one busy, busy girl. In addition to her own lenses, she maintains a Squidoo focused blog at GrowWear where she shares interesting lenses and the lensmasters behind them with us.

The next person who has really made a difference in my Squidoo life is a_willow, someone who continually pushes me to do my best. She is honest and sincere and doesn't mince words.

Strangely enough, I got to know her when she asked me to do some squid graphics for her, and very pointedly rejected them. They weren't what she wanted, but she was very polite and direct about it, and that is what I love about her.

She means what she says, and she had this way of asking you to do your best without ever being offensive about it. If she says something you can count on the fact that she means every word.

When a_willow introduced me to luvmyludwig I knew right away that we were going to hit it off, and another blessing walked into my life. As busy as she is with her own quest for Giant status she has never failed to stop what she is doing to cheer me on, or just say hi and ask how I am doing.

That brilliant smile of hers covers a heart of gold, and I seriously adore this girl...

I met mysticmama after reading her lens regarding burn injuries. It was the first lens to leave me in tears, everyone I sent it to got a warning to grab the kleenex first. Not only was her story powerful, her unstoppable spirit shined through with every word.

The moment you meet mysticmama you know you have met a force to be reckoned with, if she believes in something she believes in it with her heart and soul and nothing or nobody is going to back her down. Such a beautiful soul, with so much strength.

I met Donnette through twitter, and she has been a real inspiration. She is as passionate about raising healthy children as I am, but she has me hands down... a single mother of 6 kids!

She is an advocate of homeschooling, and a Social Media Specialist and somehow still finds time to write great lenses at Squidoo. I'm not sure how she does it all, I'm exhausted just thinking about it but she does it so well!
