Squido: Promote your Lens
Got a new lens? Squidoo recommends telling your friends, adding it to social bookmarking sites, blogging it, adding it to Stumbleupon, and tagging your lens.
Squidon't: Spam Guestbooks
Yeah, it might seem like a good way to promote yourself, your lens or whatever - but you risk losing your Guestbook privileges.
Squido: Give to Charity
I am a fan of Kiva. Kiva is just one of a number of charities to which you can donate your earnings. Face it - you are probably not going to earn much from the ads run on your lens. People tend to make more money with specific sites or products they are creating. Be generous and donate at least some of your earnings.
Squidon't: Obsess
Lensrank isn't everything. Traffic isn't everything. Even Google rankings don't necessarily mean much. Remember why you built your lens. That should be the goal.
Squido: Learn from the best Lenses
There are reasons why some lenses rise to the top. To learn by example check out the top 100 lenses. You will often see the same lensmasters topping the top 100 lists. Look at what they are doing right!

You put lots of time into building your lens right? Make sure you come back and update it now and again. Make sure the information is current. Make sure your guestbook comments are all good. Add a new module even!
Squido: Make another lens
Whatever you are trying to promote or tell the world about. If you want to be seen and heard pick another angle and create a new lens. There is nothing wrong with being specific!

- To me, making money is one of the best games ever discovered! The more you play, the more you will want to play until you get that wonderful feeling of winning.
